Candace Bahouth's Medieval Needlepoint

I have been looking for this book for years and was elated to have found it through Amazon. Even though needlepoint interest has waned it remains my favorite leisure activity. This is a classic and well worth praise. The book is lovely, designs enchanting and graphs easy to follow. None of the illustrated projects are simple but that is why I chose this excellent needlepoint designer. You feel as if you have been transported back to the Middle Ages and have joined a group of women who are also working similar canvases. A fulfilling purchase.

I wanted to purchase a kit for the standing lion but was unable to find it online. I sent Candace Bahouth an email asking if she had a chart I could purchase from her directly and she referred me to her book. This is a very beautiful book and has charts that are easy to follow as well as a yarn conversion chart. The seller was extremely efficient and the book was in "new": condition...I couldn't be happier! I can see many more projects on the horizon.

The history and pictures were wonderful and the charts look easy to follow. The book arrived before the expected date and was in excellent condition. All in all, an exceptional experience. Will be happy to order from this seller again.

was slightly put off by a few negative reviews - glad I didn't totally believe them! bought it mainly because I wanted chart of 'monkey' which I have as a kit but without accompanying chart - buying this book cheaper than purchasing chart from seller who was making money by selling it separately to the kit. Bonus that this book is a joy to look at and may well inspire me to have a go at several other patterns in the future!

クリュニー美術館のタペストリーから取り入れたデザインがありうれしいです。ただ、お猿さんではなくて、兎か犬の方が良かったです。ライオンのモチーフが２種類もあったのは残念。その分他の物が欲しかった。ベストになるデザインなど、創作意欲がわきます。

Sehr schöne Designs, die anhand der Vorlagen auch klar und einfach nachzuarbeiten sind. Das Buch ist wirklich empfehlenswert für Stickfreunde.

A stunning book even if all you are going to do is read the text! Plus, the illustrations are pure delight. Diagrams and colour charts are generously provided throughout. The medieval theme is inspirational as it provides a range of ideas from simple to complex. Use it as you will; but definitely keep it as a fascinating point of reference.
