GAIORD Potato Masher with Fine Mesh Platter and Ergonomic Horizontal Handle

Let's be honest, I just bought this for the potato masher. The vegetable peeler has gone totally unused.This isn't a product I stumbled on; I had noticed how uncomfortable it was mashing potatoes using a masher with the classic design and realized I wanted one with a horizontally facing handle. This solved the issue completely; it's ergonomic and sturdy so I can mash a whole batch of mashed potatoes without any discomfort. Hoping this design is picked up universally to save more people's wrists.

Thought the peeler might not be good, but it is terrific. I have trouble with my hands and find it difficult to peel eggplant even using what I thought was the best peeler. This on lets me peel eggplant without any pressure whatsoever. It is a really good tool. It also has 2 different sides. The peeler could have cost just what I paid for the masher.I really recommend it for everyone, especially if you have trouble peeling hard vegetables. The edge of the blade is different than others. So happy I got it.I do have to use 2 hands when using the masher

I bought this for the potato masher, but was pleasantly surprised by the peeler that came with it! I didn't realize what I was missing out on; I had always used a conventional peeler or a knife and this little contraption saved my holidays and meal prep time! The only reason why its not 5 stars is because the peeler has come apart on me and could have been a little sturdier. The masher is hard to mess up - it squashes my 'taters - I'm happy!

It is so easy to use. I have arthritis in both hands and so doing this kind labor is going to be painful. But with this product with it's big and sturdy handle and with the different size holes that helps get the job done faster I can honestly say it's the best I've ever had...even with the arthritis.

Really pleased with this purchase. The price was right and the product is sturdy and effective. The handle and metal portions of the masher are of good quality and don't seem likely at all to bend or break with use. I just used it to mash up bananas for banana bread (haven't made mashed potatoes yet) and I think it's a very ergonomic design. I used the peeler the other day to peel the tough outer layer off some carrots and dang, it is sharp and awesome! Worked like a breeze. Highly recommend.

We were looking for a potato masher and looked through lots of different products. I like the short handle as it gives me great control of the masher. It was easy to use and despite having a large pot of potatoes to mash, it did not take long to get the consistency of mashed potatoes that I like.

I use this masher for ordinary mashed potatoes, but I especially like to use if for pav bhaji (coarsely mashed potatoes and cauliflower (sometimes with other vegetables, highly spiced), for which it produces just the right coarseness of mash. The transverse handle is much more comfortable than the traditional axial handle on most older potato mashers; the metal is thick enough that I expect this to remain sturdy for many years; it cleans relatively easily.

Potato masher is great, I am throwing away the peeler.Peeler is SO obnoxiously sharp I feel like the slightest brush against the cutter will slice a good section of your finger off. The MAIN reason I won't keep it, is because it comes with no guard protection from the sharp slicer section of the peeler. I just know one day I would reach into my drawer and take off my finger...or worse yet, one of my kids would do it. Not worth the risk. My other sharp kitchen items all have some sort of a slip on/off plastic casing to protect accidental slicing.
