Grit Hockey GearBox Hockey Duffel Bag

I did a lot of research on Hockey bags and I really wanted a bag that compartmentalized my gear without having to be a "stand up" or "backpack" configuration. I also wanted a shoulder strap to ease the stress of lugging my gear around (I'm in a 40+ mens league). The GearBox meets both of these needs and is an outstanding bag. My gear is big but it does all fit, although its tight. I think most of that has to do with the extra jersey's, socks, etc. that I pack into the mesh under the lid. That leads me to my only complaint is that if you have a lot of clothes in that mesh, as well as in the top outside pocket, and open the lid, the bag does not stay standing up and falls over on it's side. I wish there were another or different compartment for clothes.My other small hesitation on purchasing this bag was that I was not a huge fan of the leather "retro" look. I decided this to be a minor issue and ordered the bag anyways. Much to my surprise, when I got the bag, it had none of the "retro" leather on it at all. I think it looks MUCH cooler without it and I was pleasantly surprised when I opened it. I am not sure if this is just the next generation of the bag or I got one that wasn't trimmed out with leather on accident but it looks great. I checked Grit's website and all the bags show with the leather trim so I am not sure how I got it without it. I attached a few pics. Make sure you go with the 38" as I can't imagine going smaller.

Great concept, built really well, however the bag is wayyyyyyyyy too small. i'm not a very big guy and I can't fit all my gear in it.

Love Grit Gearbox bags. Keeps everything organized and improves airflow. I had the first generation ones then upgraded to this one which seems to be slightly taller than original. I wished the color pattern was reversed (all black with red stripe). Overall great bag. The padded shoulder strap works great.
