Product had no installation instructions. had to go to you tube. Package had been previously opened and taped shut and didn't know if all the necessary items were there. Easy to install and works as promised.

Super easy to install. Does exactly what it’s suppose to do just like the factory oem, but at half the cost! Have had installed now for some time and it works just like when new, no corrosion or aging. Well worth the money!

Works perfect and simple to install on my 2018 Ford F-150. I also added a Aluminum Westin tailgate ladder and work perfect with the strut assist. Also safety for your kids who might open tailgate and have it fall on them if you don’t install this lower strut. 2 min install. Yes two minutes.

The media could not be loaded.  Disclaimer, I have a 1994 F150, and did not use the included hardware. I had bought a kit from Napa (GL2004) that had everything I needed except the shock was too short.I got this primarily because I've had people open my tailgate and just let it drop, causing it to come off its hinges. I ask them to not do that and they act like it's no big deal. Argh.The shock is a good diameter so as not to interfere with the tailgate shutting, and when it catches, lets the gate down fairly slowly.My only issue is that it takes a second for the pressure to catch the tailgate, so my heavy steel tailgate is virtually in free fall until then. It does catch it and doesn't let it slam down super hard. I do worry about the longevity of the shock, but I may look into a fancier shock in the future when this one does start to fail. I won't be just dropping the tailgate intentionally though.The other thing is that the head on the rod end can twist off its threads very easy. The Napa kit came with some locktite too so I threw some of that on, no big deal.All in all, very good for the low cost. If it wasn't for the delay in pressure, I'd 100% but again. I know most have a slight delay, so if a fancier one doesn't do any better, I will buy another one of these.

I run a motorcycle repair shop, one of my customers saw that I had a gas strut like this installed on my truck. He asked if I would mind ordering one for his truck. It’s an easy install and works awesome!

I didn't expect too much but it works nice!

I had to replace a c-clip off my original purchase. Couldn't find a replace clip so I just replaced the entire shock. Great product. No issues otherwise.
