Stories of the Sea (Everyman's Library Pocket Classics)

What a great little book! I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys sea stories. The individual stories are short enough to be read (or read aloud) in one sitting. The stories I've read in it so far are exciting and creative in a way that show the artistry of these authors. They make great stories to read together as a family. I'm so glad I bought this!

Gave this little book to my husband for Christmas and he loves it. He can carry it with him when he travels, leave the book next to his chair at home to just sit and read a quick story, or sitting in a coffee shop he can reread a favorite story while sipping his favorite coffee. These books are such a perfect size to take anywhere - sick in the suitcase, a pocket, or a purse.

This is a great book that has a number of short stories about the deep blue. There are several categories, such as sci-fi, classic, horror, etc. The stories are short enough to get a nice quick read in a night or two. The book is from the Everyman's Library so the paper is of high quality, the hard cover is covered with cloth and there is the nice heavy ribbon to use as your bookmarker. If you are a fan of reading tales of the sea, this is a must read for you.

....but it calls to me through the lovely ship drawings on the dust jacket. I expect to love this volume. These small quaint books make a great gift, too.
