Sci-fi adventure with satisfying combat
I love flying around in my storm javelin and taking out scorpions and scars with devastating AOE attacks. But my favorite part of the game is actually walking around Fort Tarsis between missions and hearing all of the stories from the different characters that live there. Really enjoying this game 20 hours in and I already can't wait for DLC!Update:I changed my review from 5 stars to 4 because of some annoying bugs. There was a really bad one where the game completely skipped an important cut scene during the 'Tomb of General Tarsis' mission. I thought I missed something and had to go watch a playthrough to finally see the cut scene. I've also had several crashes and been stuck on never-ending loading screens. I'm sure they'll get fixed and I still have a blast playing the game but it can be pretty frustrating at times.

Anthem xbox one digital code.
At first, I didn't receive the beta code (I pre ordered). Amazon customer service helped me straight away with this issue. In the day that the game was lunched, I didn't receive the digital code. Amazon's customer service told me that this was a known issue and I should wait. After 16 more hours I contacted them again, and the solution they gave me was to cancel the order and re order again.Besides that, I find the game very enjoyable, although the reviews are real bad :(.

Best Shooter I’ve Ever Played
Anthem is the best shooter I’ve ever played, but beware that the loading time is kinda long but it’s worth it. It took me a few hours to get the hang of the controls because when you’ve never played before it’s a little hard but after a bit of time it’s super easy. You must have internet to play the game and when the internet is weak you might get bumped off of the game but with a stable connection you’ll be able to play smoothly. As far as the graphics go it’s almost like looking out a window that’s just been cleaned,(it’s the second most realistic game I own) . And as far as violence there’s no shooting people and no blood, unless you count killing scars (monster-like creatures that you are supposed to kill in the game, which aren’t scary to a 11 year old) violent. As far as customization there are 4 javelins to unlock, you get the first one after the intro (level 2) and the next 3 at levels 8,16 & 26. The four javelins are: Ranger, Storm,Interceptor& Colusus. (Notes about the javelins: I suggest the Ranger as the first javelin you pick in the game, the Ranger is a well rounded javelin that Is great on the battlefield. The Storm is my personal favorite javelin, it can hover in mid air for longer then all the other javelins and has the ability to use fire, ice and lighting in combat. The Inceptor is the fastest and most agile javelin, the Inceptor can also use acid in combat. (To me the Interceptor has a female figure, so I haven’t used it but one time. The last javelin is the Colusus which I have very little to say about it because I have not unlocked it yet. But I know that it can use auto cannons(miniguns) and Grenade Launchers. And about customizing your javelin, it’s not something that’s easy to find but you don’t have to spend Coin( a virtual currency in game ) or Shards ( another virtual currency in the game ) to customize your javelin. All you have to do is go to the Forge and click paint, hold X and push B then click A and you should be starting at the paint options( if it doesn’t show paint then it can’t be painted) The best weapon loadout for me has been Havoc and Scatershot with the Storm. To sum it all up I think that Anthem is an awesome game(that’s a very nice compliment coming from a guy who doesn’t like EA games besides a few need for speed games

Could have been a solid game, but marred by bugs
The good:- Solid visuals- Entertaining gameplay mechanics (flight is top-notch)- Decent playstyle variety due to the different javelins available- Large open world to explore outside the fortress wallsThe bad:- Buggier than a "finished" game should be (my primary gripe centers around the game occasionally crashing to the main menu and the resulting loss of progress/loot from the mission I was in). Replaying missions because the game crashes mid-mission sucks in a big way. Hopefully this will be fixed.- While the voice acting is good and dialogue is occasionally entertaining, the encounters one has at the home base are kind of a dumbed down version of option-based dialogue found in Mass Effect series, with less bearing on the eventual result of the conversation and overall story arc...that facet of the game could be better developed for sure- The aforementioned nice, large open world is largely devoid of any meaningful events save for a few repetitive world events.Overall:It's a game that showed promise, but is marred by bugs that one would think should've been addressed in the development process or after the beta release. In general, it's kinda fun but only for a while. Hopefully Bioware won't start haphazardly tinkering with the loot, mechanics, etc like UbiSoft did with The Division. [Edit: after playing through the content that shipped with the game, and persistence of bugs despite several patches, I docked a star. The game was short but fun (when it wasn't glitching up or crashing) and shows promise, but there's apparently a lot more for the developers to iron out that I had previously thought. Fingers are crossed for more content and continued improvements.]

Love the flying mechanic
I honestly love the game and look forward to seeing future content from it. I have played maybe 60 hours now (This copy was bought for a family member) and I have not grown tired of the flight mechanics or gameplay. I did have a long load issue but when I removed it from my external HDD and put it on the internal it was fixed. Bioware needs to keep on top of any bug issues but so far they have been pretty transparent and releasing patches incredibly fast. Again, I look forward to seeing what they add to the game in the future.
