Dorman80547 Rear Passenger Side Exterior Door Handle Compatible with Select Cadillac / Chevrolet / GMC Models, Chrome

I tried installing a cheaper version from another manufacturer and it lasted one day prior to breaking just like the original. I ordered this one from Dorman as a replacement. I have been using this item for over a year, but the rear doors are only opened 2-3 times a month on average. It hasn't broken but I would not be surprised if it does. This is just not a very good design for a door handle. Seems like the manufacturer could come up with something a little more substantial, but this is what you get with plastic parts needed to save on vehicle weight to ultimately meet the federal mandates for better gas mileage.

I replaced the rear door handle on 2014 GMC Yukon Denali, and the part fit perfectly, the installation was pretty straight forward and the door looks and works like factory. I didn't notice any of the "hard to pull" issues that came up frequently in the reviews I looked at. Now that I'm proficient with door disassembly I'm going to order the exact same thing for the driver's door that is in its early stage of failing.

My kids had a bad habit of yanking on the rear passenger door handles, until one of them broke loose from its screws. I did not want to spend 100s of dollars getting it replaced at the dealer so I decided to do it myself. This was the most economically priced that I have found this part. It was shipped very quickly. With this part and the help of Youtube I was able to change the broken handle out. It took a while, but I got it.I will say that this part feels like high quality, but is a lot stiffer than the original. Anyway, it works as advertised and I am able to open the door without fear of the handle just ripping completely off.

Better quality than other brand aftermarket I have used before. Still a poor design from GM but this part fits the bill.

way to stiff, people are always asking me if the door is locked. my kids need to use both hands and their body weight to open the door now. Hopefully with Time my kids will get stronger

Easy to install, and looks original, however it’s horribly hard to open the door, hoping after use it wears in some.. and it sounds like it may crack at any moment. :(

feel pretty sturdy. Dorman is usually a reliable brand so well see how it holds up.edit: it's now been over two months since I've put this on and it's doing good. would definitely recommend.
