I am happy with this purchaseI was looking for a small battery powered DVD player to use in very remote locationsIt took some time and research to find an inexpensive portable player that was a little more than a toyIt is important to read the specifications in order to see the differences between these units which all look similar and will play multiple format DVD discs and files from USB and SD Card storage mediaThis KJM-1048 has a High-resolution 1024 600 Colour TFT-LED displayOther similar units did not specify screen resolution which is obviously important for a DVD playerMy only reservation when choosing this product was that there was no image of the remote control unit shown...so here is a picture of this accessory next to the 12 Volt car charger to show its actual sizeIt comes complete with a comprehensive User Manual which is technically excellent albeit including one or two harmless but hilarious translation errors which I would be glad to point out to the manufacturer if they would so requestIt comes well packaged and in perfect conditionCharging the unit is simply a matter of connecting either the a.c. adaptor or the car cigarette lighter accessory to the 9-12 Volt input on the side of the playerThe charging status l.e.d. is visible through a ventilation grille on the rear of the unit and it will play whilst charging if necessaryI will further update this review after having used this unit for a few weeks but it looks and feels as if it will cut the biscuit

Looks good, works well, I have not as yet come up with a real dislike, first impression was of a solid build, hopefully built to last a long time. I was also impressed with the amount of functions and controls built into the player, not listed in the product description. Best for me is the multi disc type the player can play without a problem, so far I have tried various region dvds, proving the multi region function, I have played computer generated dvds and cds and audio discs without any problems all very impressive on a portable dvd player.The picture quality is really excellent and the sound is as expected from a machine where the speaker size is restricted by the overall size of player , but its easy if you want top quality sound at home to plug in a set of speakers ,I think it may also be possible for power for the speakers to be supplied by the USB socket on the player .Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and consider it to be good value for money.

Comes securely packed with a Car & Mains Chargers, USB cable, Remote control, Headphones, and a Travel case. Ordered for my younger brother who likes watching my collection of DVD's and with this, he can watch on the road or anywhere. The player is made of good quality plastic and the design is simple which makes it easier to use by anyone. The buttons are tactile and are placed in a good position. the ports are also in a good spot and are of wider selection for wider connectivity. Although the screen resolution is low on this screen size it looks okay. It is meant for DVD's but it can also play through USB's which is great but is not meant to replace an iPad. Overall very happy with this and would definietly recommend.

I bought this for my son for our trip on a plane. The picture and sound quality is very good and I am very really happy with it. The screen size is perfect and I like the fact that the screen can be rotated to different positions. He has managed to watch one film, so he hasn’t tested the battery fully, but I have no concerns over this. The remote control could have leas button, but this is not a deal-breaker. Overall a great product and it is just what I wanted!

Bought mainly for car journeys but also for my kids to use around the house while their brother hogs the tv with his xbox! It arrived in pristine condition with protective film on it and lots of accessories like the car and mains chargers, av cable, earphones, remote control, even a drawstring bag to carry it in. You can play stuff via a disc, sd card or usb stick and the disc player is actually multi region so will play both region one and two discs. Been using it over the holidays and it's been ideal as the kids can watch a movie in their room before bed which they love the novelty of, and it means the main tv in the living room can be used for other stuff. Very good battery life, enough to watch at least two movies before recharging. Simple to use, my younger kids aged between 6 and 10 can operate it with no issues. A good buy.

Really excellent piece of kit for the money! You can't knock it for this price.Comes in a nice box with carry handle & the player & accessories are very well packaged (best I've seen for any electrical product).Would make a good gift.Love the fact it plays all my discs no matter what region & I can view my photos from my camera directly via sd slot.You also have the option with leads provided for plugging into your tv,which was a surprise.Pretty straight forward to use.The remote is my only issue it's rather small & fiddly with small buttons.Really it's a bargain & will easily pay for itself after a few uses.Definitely recommend.

I could not be happier with this little DVD player. Good size screen and easy navigation. I previously purchased a Barbie DVD player for my daughters Christmas present, but the memory function would not hold and it got very tiresome going through the whole process at the beginning of a disc over and over again. The picture was ok and the sound was poor and had to send back, but this DVD player is spot on. I did worry that the mechanical sound would be too noisy during use, but does not interfere with the sound of the film. My daughter has already enjoyed watching a film and I have not yet charged the unit since recieving it. Was pleasantly surprised that it will read the CD-G discs aswell as it is not in the description. My daughter also had a karaoke machine for Christmas and can now view the words on the DVD player instead of taking over the main TV. Very happy so far.
