The product was exactly what I was looking for. In the process of training a pony to drive.

Great book but slow delivery time.

Great for the money. I bought this for when the S H T F and I believe it will serve me well for that purpose and at a decent price.

Good book if you are a read and do sorta person like me....my team is coming along nicely. First time I've attempted a driving team. I refer to this book often.

Lots of good information. Detailed and easy to follow. Looking forward to getting my 2yr old started.

great book

This a good book but it isn't complete. If you are trying to break a horse to harness by your self not having any knowledge, this book isn't really enough. That said it does give some very good advice. The author is overly safety conscious and treats horses as though they are bombs ready to explode. Also the training techniques are based on the `old' way of doing things ie putting something on the horse and leaving him until he accepts it because he doesn't have a choice, rather than an ethological approach. The relationship one has with ones horse is - in my view - extremely important and not addressed in this book. The horse must have confidence in the trainer.This book is not for beginners because breaking a horse in to be driven one must have trained the horse to long reins and to be able to direct the horse from the ground. During the explanation of this step the author states that a beginner should not attempt to long rein a green horse.Also there is nothing on how to correctly fit a harness.This book could be used as a reference to a course for example.

A great simplified guide to breaking a pony to cart. Good pictures and not too much information

This book is amazing. I used the step by step guide to break my pony to harness. It is easy to follow and is done in steps that give you the confidence to succeed. It is full of pictures which show exactly what you need to do. I think this book is a must in anyone's horsey library!
