QIHOO Norse Medieval Viking Shield Symbol Brooch

I do historical reenactment and I bought these because I wanted to try a viking look. I use these to attach the straps to an apron dress. After approximately 15 minutes the pens and both of them had bent and popped open. I ended up having to buy a different pair what's bigger pens so that I could keep my dress together. The actual metal pieces on these are very pretty and seem to be well made, the pin Fastener on the underside however leaves a lot to be desired. If your apron just has straps that are sewn into place does not rely on the brooches to keep it closed then these will be fine for you. However I wouldn't rely on these to fasten the dress or bear any weight from hanging beads.

I purchased 2 of these for my viking smokkr and they are the perfect size. Good, solid pieces. As someone else mentioned, the pin on the back is rotated 180 degrees the wrong way, but I'm sure I can find a way to work around that.

Considering that this was going to be used to wear on a cloak, you'd expect the back to be more substantial. Item arrived in a barely padded envelope with no additional padding or care, and one of the clasps snapped off completely. There's no way this will hold up to regular use if it breaks so easily in transit. Returning the pair.

These worked perfectly for my fake fur cloak for a Viking costume! Great size, and while the pin was thin on the back, it held nicely. I ran a small chain between the pins on either side of my cloak, and got the exact result I was looking for.

Beautiful piece. Using it for securing scarves. I love the Nordic symbolism.

This brooch was vell made. It has very good detail.

Nice design but very cheaply made. Might suffice a a pin but could never work as a clasp to hold material together.

It looks as well in person as it does on line. The only thing I can say negative about it is, the clasp is oriented 180 degrees off of were it should have been.
