First Lessons Tenor Banjo

The nice thing about this book is that they provide everything in tablature form. Melody, accompaniment and chords! Really unusual

I'm mainly updating my previous review. This is a good starting point for a tenor banjo player. Easy to follow, relatively direct in it's approach.

Old style. Ok. arrived when stated.

This is a great instructional book for beginners. Helps clarify chords which you absolutely need to know in order to play songs.

For someone like me that does not read or know notes this is a good book however something seems to of gotten lost when trying to understand what sharps and flats are or how to figure it out. The cd is the same as the dvd. But will keep practicing till I understand better. Bought this last Oct.2011.

Good book for the beginner..simple chords, easy to understand...with the DVD, I am making good progress because I can SEE and HEAR as I progress.

Very informative 1st book for my banjo student. Since both a cd & dvd are provided along with the instruction book. The student can review & re-play areas of a lesson to insure proper practice habits.

I bought this for my father, who had recently hit a plateau in his banjo lessons.He was thrilled when he got it, and has raved about it on more than one occasion.It is very informative and hands-on, with an interactive CD-Rom you can play in your pc that is very detailed.

I have played Irish tenor banjo but I wanted something to kick start me in traditional tuning. Whilst a very simple book for me, it is fun and well worth having. Great play along CD. Joe Carr certainly knows his stuff.

Ideal lesson book, easy to follow

Brought this for a present. Looks good, easy to follow instructions, plus cd and dvd. What more could you ask.
