AputureLight Dome mini II

Compact size, sturdy construction, effective soft lighting. Premium produce when compared to Neewer given metal construction and mechanical bits. If budget allows, go for it. Otherwise, a similar sized Neewer product will get the job done.

Brilliant design. Quick and easy to use and put away. Well made material and construction

Quality is superb—it’s an apurture product. However, assembling it was/is a chore (for me). The spring action IMHO is just too tight and at times it causes binding when extending each metal arm. I took it down once and reassembled…I am passing it on to a friend who has quality equipment and the space to leave it assembled. But again, the quality of the materials, including the egg-crate, is wonderful.. Peace.

If you can afford the extra money, and you're looking for the best quality in a light dome, look no further, this is one of the best.

Much easier to put together than other softboxes.

I have struggled with assembly of the original version Light Dome mini, and I am so glad that Aputure updated it. The new version is much easier/faster to assemble and break down. It no longer has those dangerous "spikes" that protrude from the front that had me in fear someone was going to loose an eye. Plus the new version includes a wonderful gel holder. Unlike my full sized Light Dome II, the mini II version only has one diffusion fabric, probably due to the smaller size of the dome.I highly recommend the mini II version for shooting in tight spaces where the larger Light Dome II is too cumbersome. The larger Light Dome produces softer/wider results, but the mini II is also a great light modifier.

Tears that could soon enlarge. Will be replacing this.

The dome is very hard for a girl to set :( I wish the mechanism is much easier

Veloce da montare e comodo da portarsi dietro. Ben accessoriato. Ha anche un portafiltri per gelatine.

Zunächst war ich etwas skeptisch wegen der Größe, wurde aber eines Besseren belehrt. Die Größe reicht, das Licht ist schön weich und es ist schnell auf- und abgebaut. Größere brauchen meist zu viel Platz und lassen sich oft nicht so gut richten (Spill). Super für ein Keylight und passt auch bei wenig Platz.Nach einer gewissen Zeit habe ich nun den Gel-Holder öfters genutzt und muss sagen: Genial. Super einfach zu nutzen und nur wenig Lichtverlust!
