Great quality ink!!
I recently purchased this ink for palmistry, to make a print of my handprint on paper to practice palmistry (palm reading) and it hasn't let me down yet.

This is a lot of ink!
When just starting in lino carving I was trying to find affordable supplies. The price of this ink was very reasonable and it's a lot of ink! Just takes a little bit to do a series of prints. It's oil base so dry time is slower than water base. In the learning curve that is a plus because the ink doesn't dry up on the lino block while you're printing.I use it for mono (one color) prints. On some pieces, I come back with watercolor paints to add highlights. Take some time to clean up the inside of the lid and the lip around the canister to make use less messy. Good ink at a good value.

So mad! Updated ✨5 stars✨
I wanted to write a good review, but the ink had leaked into my entire package and was a mess from the start. Not what I thought I'd get but, ill let you know how well it prints with the ink I have leftUpdate: I wanted to update the stars. Though a pain I ended out with about half of my ink left. Its 2022 and its still working like a charm. A little dry but, you can fix that If you are picky. Thats 3 years people and Im not even at the bottom!

Great pro results with soap and water cleanup!!
Absolutely love this stuff!! Amazon needs to work on packaging it for shipping because two of the 4 so far have shown up dented and leaking BUT the product is great. The foreground of my photo is a proof pressing of the phlanto blue vs the a water based speedball ink used to do the orginal proof. My next two pieces are multi color so I'll really get to finally focus on the absorption/"dry" time officially finally but overall it should not be an issue if you are not pressed for time. I'm assuming itll be a few day process based on how long single colors have taken me so far. Beautiful pigment, very opaque, thick to spread but no mineral spirits needed and that was huuuuuge. I'm basically buying a color a week at this point, they're that good.

Jet Black but Messy
Pro: LOVE this product's jet black color and thickness as I work with Lino printmaking. You cant a blacks depth anywhere else. I've tried multiple brands.Con: Extremely messy. If you've never would with loose ink , I would recommend going for ink in a tube instead. If you do happen to work with this, the best way to clean it up is with Dove dish detergent and water. DO NOT get lazy and wait a day to clean up; it will be harder.

Speedball is my favorite ink.
I’ve been using Speedball products for about 50 years. Definitely my preferred brand. I went to college near one of the factories and found them to be super helpful in person as well.

Great product but leaky cans.
Great ink for relief printing. Some cans were leaking as the oil had separated from the pigment. I could mix the oil back in but don’t know if overall quality was affected by this.

Nice opaque black; caution, drys slow
Love speedball products because they make printing very safe an accessible in a classroom setting! This in yeilds a great opaque black, but like any other oil based ink the dry time is super slow. Print your works well in advance of when you need them to be dry.

Great ink, but they really can't ship these properly huh
The media could not be loaded. The ink itself is fine (doesn't seem dry,) but I'll update this review as I use it.But holy damn, the other reviews were correct that Amazon just is incapable of shipping these without damaging the tin. Mine was dented in 3 places and wibble wobbles on the table (see vid,) which isn't great. I'll see if I can gently mallet-whack it back to a stable state. The ink was pretty chaotic inside as well, as it was shipped in a bag, not a box with stuffing so this was jangling around and upside down a lot I imagine.

Great ink for professional results
Top quality ink, cleans up with soap and water takes a while to dry but the richness of colour is beautiful.

LONG dry time
Tbh this takes an insane amount of time to dry. Not practical if you need it in a pinch (brace for dry times as long as 1 week to 1 month). Transfer was better than the speedball block printing ink but not by that much....
