Could I use this to connect directly from turntable to speakers?

No. The Alva duo is a preamp that amplifies the output from your turntable to a level which can be further amplified by a modern amplifier connected to your speakers. There was a time when all amplifiers had phono inputs that could deal with the very weak outputs from moving coil and moving magnet turntable cartridges, but that’s not normal now.

Anyone tested it with pro-ject tt? personally have the x1 which i intend to use with an ortofon 2m black cart

I used it with my project with an ortofon blue and it was fine. I then upgraded the phono stage to a Graham Slee…if you’re already on an ortofon black you may want to up the phono amp spec a tad..or not.

Can i plug this into a linn kairn pro pre amp?

We would recommend that the Alva Duo is not connected to a pre-amp.

I have a technics sl150 with coral 777ex moving coil cartridge, no pre or power amp, no speakers. can i use this to listen my records with headphones?

Yes, you should be able to do this. I have found that the output of the headphone amp part depends on the output of your moving coil cartridge (which I think is 3mV), to give sufficient volume . The Cambridge also requires 3mV for full output so should be fine. If your headphones are difficult to drive, you may find maximum volume limited.
