Exactly what I needed. Well constructed and works like it's supposed to.

I purchased this in 2016 (now 2.2018), I had the exact same problem as the reviewer back in 2014. The thumb screw opposite the bubble level that you use to tighten your camera/plate onto the head isn't thought out. The lever is to long, or the lever doesn't stick out far enough to not hit the bottom of the camera. It is not a ratchet style so you cant pull and rotate to re-position the locking lever. It does, however, unscrew so you can take it off and glue something better in place. This is an excellent, well made piece of gear. All metal. With a crucial flaw unless you want to 'tinker'.

worthless. the side lever to remove the camera bumps into the bottom of the camera so it can't even be installed. the replacement all metal for the camera handle cant be installed properly because the threads run twice as long as the standard handle. going to return this. hoping this review keeps others from buying this piece of junk.

First off, I purchased two of these conversions for my Slick pods. With a couple of minor adjustments they adapted perfectly, except the screw with the lever, different thread size. The upper plate was wider than expected and was perfect for my Bronicas. The only drawback was my medium formats cover the little spirit levels, however, they work fine with my DSLR and SLR cameras. I highly recommend this conversion!

My Canon XL2 camcorder will slide out and fall before tightening the locking screw handle. Does not have a safety pin to momentarily stop if starts to slide.

Clutch! Very clutch. Probably going to purchase a couple more back ups soon.
