Great aftermarket upgrade part
Great part. My Rustler was an XL-5 that came with bushings until I upgraded almost everything. (brass looking alloy bushings are stock on the XL-5) Those are terrible when compared to bearings. At first, I used bearings in the existing bearing carriers. (the small size bearings) I burned through those like crazy with my VXL upgrade and 2s LiPo. (they lasted a couple of hours and only parts of them were left, the rest fell apart and fell out) These carrier take the larger bearings. (I think 11mm) you put 2 bearings in each carrier. (inside and outside bearings that is) My car now rolls downhill on its own. (it didn't before when using the bushings) There is less rolling resistance. I know that bearing upgrades for 1/16 scale cars make a bigger difference than 1/10 scale cars but it did make a small difference. I put bearings in a Losi Mini-T and it was a huge upgrade. (that is 1/16 scale) On the Rustler it was just a big upgrade. Do the front and the back. I could have gone with aluminum but RPM plastic parts are really good. You don't see these much anyway. I did upgrade to Traxxas aluminum caster blocks which I recommend. This part could work with plastic or aluminum. If you have a VXL, you already have bearings here. (those who upgraded XL-5 Rustlers should buy this though)

Much stronger than stock
These RPM bearing carriers are a lot beefier and stronger than stock. My original ones were flexing and cracking.

Unbreakable....so far
We own several Traxxas RC Cars, (Rustler, 2 Slashes, Stampede). Seems like we spend more time repairing the cars than actual driving...The stock Traxxas Bearing Carriers are cheap plastic, don't waste your time thinking "Factory Originals are better". They aren't. They are garbage. I have yet broke an RPM part on any of my cars and we drive them hard. Save yourself time and money and use the RPM. They fit like a stock only way more durable....the end

RPM is always a good buy
I have been using RPM parts for many years. You can't break them and they don't cost as much as heavy aluminum parts. The only downside is they never quite fit like OEM parts. I have to sand them 99% of the time to make them fit. That's the only reason why I didn't give 5 stars.

Good replacement or upgrade
I installed these before breaking the originals so I could bash without worrying about breaking anything. They are holding up nicely, fit right in and the stock bearings popped into place no trouble. Good investment.
