Read the directions and you can't go wrong. Easy to use as long as you have the strength to turn the handle. Those with arthritis might have an issue with the pressure needed to turn the handle. I like the grabber that clinches the lid, no sharp edges. Have used it for small tomato paste cans, large cans, no problems. Clean and well designed, and it even came in purple!

This is a perfect working manual can opener, and it was a new design for opening your cans with a side process and stops the cutting blade from getting into your food in the can, Works dang near perfect. only used about 13 times, but its simple and opens cans with ease.

We had bought many different can openers from OXO to dollar store.All were not useful for one reason or another, the OXO for example simply slid off the can when you turned the handle.This is extremely well made and just works!You put it on top of the can, turn the handle until the can has turned a full circle, turn counterclockwise a bit to release, use the little lifter, voila!No pressure/squeezing is needed.Best I've ever used.Get one today!

This is my first can opener that cuts around the sides rather than the top. It takes a little getting used to but I like it due to no more sharp edges. Four stars because I have had trouble getting the lid off a time or two.

I already have this can opener so I bought this one for my father in law. He absolutely loves it. He kept getting cut with the lids from the “other” kind of can openers. It works great. It is a smooth operator. There’s not really a learning curve for it at all. I showed my father in law how to use it and he got it on the first try..great product!

Opens the can well. However the position of the user's hands makes for poor ergonomics. We find it awkward to turn the paddle as compared to a paddle being on the side as the tool is used. Lid lifter works well.Update: after using this we've adapted and now find it easy to use. It has become most appreciated.

I love the can openers that open this way. I previously had the Chef's Star Automatic Can Opener, and it failed w/in months and I didn't even use it that much, and when I tried contacting them, they never got back with me.On Thanksgiving, I used my Aunt's can opener and she had this same brand and I loved it. It was very smooth and worked very well. Hopefully, this will last a long time.

The people who can’t figure out how to make it work aren’t stupid — this thing will not open store brand cans with their taller rims. Quite an unpleasant surprise for someone who thinks they only need to own one can opener.
