BANDAI Hobby HGUC 1/144 Gustav Karl (UC Ver). ''Gundam Unicorn''

Very nice, modern HG. The only real seams are in the shoulder bits and forearms, both easily removed. It’s a pretty interesting design for a feddy grunt and a good bit taller than most. Very few stickers, just ones for the cameras, the red slot in the crotch guard, and the black lines in the legs; all of which fit great if it’s to be displayed without paint. Articulations are decent for such a thicc boi and the legs have an interesting gimmick, allowing the knees to extend for a better bend. The rifle looks a bit small against the giant frame. It has quickly become a favorite in the collection.

I bought this for someone else but it looked like any other Gundam model. I never watched Unicorn but the mobile suit looks well designed and quite an interesting change based on its lineage of design. It's like a heavy Jegan with some quirky design features with the head layout and shield mount. I don't know if there is any other things to go with this suit in terms of add-ons but the shoulders on the torso irritate me for some reason because I would've liked to have seen some built-in missile mounts there like from Wing's Leos, or maybe some extra sensors. The neck area just looks as if it is missing something.

This kit should have been a master grade

One of my favorite builds. This big bulky guy has lots of range of motion even with all the big pieces, highly recommend for all builders and large mech enthusiast.

Solid build all around, well fitting joints, good range of motion. Perfect for Gunpla or to just add some paint for highlights. Either way it’s well worth the price.

個人的にとても期待していた、グスタフ・カールの発売です！早速パチ組みしましたが、さすがにバンダイの技術は最高でストレスフリーで完成しました。劇中（UC、NT）の活躍（？）を観て「カッコ良い！プラモ買わなきゃ！」という人は少ないと思いますが、RGM系とは一線を画す,連邦軍機としては異質なデザインに、ロービジカラーがバッチリ決まりとてもカッコ良いです。元々閃光のハサウェイ劇中でのキンバレー部隊の蛮行で良い印象の皆無な機体でしたが、UC、NTでのある種の潔い扱いと、スパロボ新作の主人公機と言ったら何人かは騙せそうなオンリーワンなデザインが最近とても気に入っています。商品としては共演したジェスタやディジェと比べると二回りくらい大きいサイズです。本来クシィーやペーネロペーと絡むので仕方がないですが。また色分けがしっかりしていて、シールが少ないのは嬉しいのですが、武装も少ないです。商品名はユニコーンverですが、ガンダムNTのパンフレットを見直したところカラーや形状に違いが無く、違いは携帯火器のみのようなのでショートマシンガンも付けて欲しかったなー。まさかショートマシンガンを付けてNTverでプレバンで出ませんよね？減点しようと思いましたが商品化が素直に嬉しくて満点評価です。デザインが気に入った人は購入しましょう！後悔はしないと思いますよ！

ガンダムNTでアンクシャと共に「ディジェにやられる役」として活躍したグスタフ・カールですが、組むのは非常に楽しいキットでした。　※閃光のハサウェイのファンの仲間たち的には「満を持して」ですね！HGとは思えない大きなパーツが多くあり、組み上がりも普段組んでいるHGたちとは二回りくらい違い、いっそMGの横に置いた方が違和感がない感じです。一点、腰の関節が弱い点に注意が必要です。7月にプレバンから出るディジェを組んでナラティブごっこをしたら、、この腰は確実に壊れることでしょう。(肩のシールドも・・・)どうせそれほど動かないのだから、接着固定してもいいのかもしれません。
