2 inch hole saw is enough for a tight fit install.
Bright, accurate enough, looks good. Installation would be made far easier if they used a plug instead of three terminals. In my case the space behind the instrument panel is very difficult to access and it made me wish I had purchased something easier to install even if lower quality. That said, it works great. The instructions call for a 2 1/16 hole saw. Good luck finding one! I drilled a hole using a 2 inch hole saw instead and was able to push it in there with some friction and causing the stickers on the side to come off. You could also just sand or lightly file the hole after drilling, but no need to run out and buy anything other than a regular 2 inch hole saw if you already own one.

Excellent replacement gauge
Great fit in the dash where my old one was on the boat. The instructions are very easy to follow and was easy to install. The numbers are very easy to see.

Accuracy issue
Bought as a direct replacement for a gauge I ruined by running the outboard with no battery. The engine has no voltage regulator and the the voltage went quite high and burned out the meter. The gauge is comes with all the hardware for installation and the backlight works well but it's accuracy is a bit lacking. Using a volt/ohm meter (fluke 85) on the back of the gauge shows the gauge reads about 1/2 volt low. Not a big deal as it's more for telling me the battery is charging than the state of charge but disappointing none the less. Construction is a bit "economical" so time will tell if it will hold up but I would expect to only get a few years out of it.

Great outboard motor head temperature gauge
This is a contact head temperature gauge. Installed on my Evinrude 115 HP V4 one head, getting another for the other head. Don't over heat your outboard - very costly. These gauges are worth every penny.
