Ortlieb Back Roller Plus Black Saddle Bags 2016

I had a pair of Ortlieb bags for my EBike and wanted to get a set for my hubby. These are a past years model and thusly the price reflected that. Quality is A+

This package of two bags is well-made and easy to adjust to fit almost any bicycle rack. No tools are required to adjust the clamps to fit your rack, and once adjusted the bags slide on and clamp to the rack effortlessly, then unclamp and slide off the rack simply by lifting the handle. I use them for grocery shopping, and since they are so easy to remove from the bike, I take them into the store with me and have my groceries loaded directly into them. The set comes with various size inserts that adapt the clamps to whatever diameter tubing your rack is made of. They are a little difficult to insert, but once in they stay in place. I find that closing the bags by rolling the top and latching the adjustable top strap to hold it in place a bit odd, but it does allow for different size loads. I haven't needed or used the included shoulder straps (shown as the V-shaped strap across the front in the ads), but it's there if you need it, and if you don't you can just not attach it. I'm happy with this purchase.

I have had these for less than 2 months but they are everything I hoped for in a set of Panniers. Plenty of room to transport my clothing, laptop bag etc. Have been through two rainstorms with everything totally dry.I recommend when inserting spacers that you use a screwdriver or else you will hurt your thumb.Finally, one of the attachment hooks fell off - probably my fault for not retightening properly. Emailed Customer Support. Had someone respond in 2 hours, identify the part I needed and had it shipped the same day.These are well worth the expense. Company stands behind and supports the product.

I really like the wide open size to carry locks and tools and still add groceries, clothes, and extra water, food, and camping gear. Securely fastens to bike rack with a pull-up quick release and movable bottom clamp to fasten the bags at three point on the bike.

Excellent product, very well worth the money. The quick release attachment hardware is slick and well done. They are completely waterproof, which is needed here in the Pacific Northwest.

Prompt delivery, bags where exactly as advertised. I severely recommend them!

Tough well made and does exactly what it is designed to do. I commute 20 miles round trip rain or shine and these have never let me down. There is a reason you see these so often with commuters and touring cyclists.

Just purchased an ebike and these panniers fit the bike rack perfectly! Great for Pacific Northwest weather too!

Geräumige, wasserdichte Fahrradtasche, wird als Paar geliefert.Gut: Neben dem großen Hauptfach gibt es innen eine kleine Netztasche mit Reißverschluss und dahinter noch ein weiteres Fach.Eine kleine Außentasche hätte ich noch gut gefunden, hat man wohl aus Wasserdichtigkeitsgründen nicht gemacht.Die Halterung für den Schulterriemen finde ich dagegen ebenfalls gut.Ansich bin ich sehr zufrieden mit der Tasche, leider nach nichtmal 4 Wochen Einsatz schließt der QL 2.1 Mechanismus nicht mehr selbstständig.Die Beschreibung sagt ja:"Das ORTLIEB Quick-Lock2.1-System ermöglicht ein schnelles und unkompliziertes Befestigen und Lösen der Tasche am Gepäckträger mit einer Hand. Beim Einhängen am Gepäckträger arretieren die Befestigungshaken selbsttätig."Das klappte am Anfang auch wunderbar, aber schon nach nichtmal 4 Wochen (1-3 mal pro Woche genutzt die Tasche) nun nicht mehr.Bemerkt habe ich es als plötzlich die Tasche während der Fahrt über einen Bordstein vom Gepäckträger fiel.Evtl. ist die verbaute Feder nicht stark genug oder schon nach so kurzer Zeit ausgeleiert, auf jeden Fall muss ich jetzt immer nach deim Einhängen den Schließmeachnismus an beiden Haken manuell schließen. Auf dem Foto sieht man es ganz gut - Bild ist ohne Zug am Griff.Das ist wirklich nervig und hätte ich bei diesem Markenprodukt, bei dem der QuickLock-Mechanismus eines der Key Features ist nicht erwartet.

Don't be tempted by cheaper products if you are a regular user or cycle-camp. Carries all my gear including tent, sleeping mat & bag, small chair, clothes, stove, gas cylinder, coffee, cup etc, lock and a few electrical essentials. Holds tight to the pannier rack, no fuss, no fiddling with velcro and zips.

Love these bags. They clip on/off the bike very easily, but are also very secure when attached. They are more expensive than other bags. But well worth the investment.

One of my best investment! Could not be any happier with them, I use them on a daily basis and they are still in good quality

... bei Regen noch nicht getestet - muss auch nicht unbedingt sein ;-) aber haben schon diverse Ausflugstouren hinter sich.Handhabung und Einstellen der Befestigung ging alles super. Es liegen für die versch. Gepäckträger genug passende Reduzierstücke dabei.Farblich passen diese Taschen super zu meinem Rad ;-) ... fahre jetzt nicht mit "roten" Taschen wie so doch ziemlich häufig auf den Straßen anzutreffen *gg* Und die Qualität ist halt eben Ortlieb!Rollback ist große Klasse und dazu mit dem Schultergurt eine super Sache in der Stadt beim "mal eben" Einkauf.Die Innentaschen sind für mich hier auch ein Highlight, da kann frau doch so manchen Kleinkram drin lassen, um schnell ran zu kommen :-))
