INDOOR SOWING - Sow Saponaria seeds in pots, trays or modules. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of compost or vermiculite. Place in a clear polythene bag and seal or if preferred place in a propagator.Once the seeds have started to germinate remove from the bag or propagator and position in a location with good daylight and a reduced temperature. Keep the seedlings away from frost. Once the seedlings are large enough to handle prick out the strongest seedlings into 7 - 10 cm pots. Keep the plants protected in a cold frame or a cool frost free greenhouse. Plant out into their final growing position when growth is strong. Plant out autumn sowings the following spring after all risk of frost has passed. Before planting out harden off over 7 - 10 days so the plants can acclimatize to the outdoor temperatures.FURTHER GROWING INSTRUCTIONS - Sowing instructions on the packet.
