Works well
Very nice letters. They didn’t snap together very good but served their purpose. Would buy again.

Locking Instructions for Spraypainting
These stencils are decent. The plastic is thin, but flexible, and I didn’t have any problems with it cracking, even when trying to lock the tiny tabs together. The seller sent me six 9’s (instead of three 6’s and three 9’s). The number shapes are identical, but the locking tabs aren’t. (I think you can flip them vertically, but you can’t rotate them or flip them horizontally and have them lock correctly. I was able to cut off the tabs on the upside down 9’s and still have them spaced correctly, though.). The seller's locking tab instructions are incomplete. Better instructions below:1. Make sure your letters are right side up (The more finished, kind of bumpy, matte side seems to go down. The less finished looking, but smoother, side goes up. When they are correct, the tabs on the left side of each letter should be the outward facing/further apart tabs, with the inward facing/closer together tabs on the right).2. Line up the letters you wish to lock together.3. Slide the right side stencil of the first pair down (toward yourself) until the shorter, cut end of both letters’ top tabs are aligned. (See pic #1)4. Push the tabs of BOTH stencils downward (toward the table/medium) until the cuts are separated cleanly (don’t crease them).5. Nest the tab cutout holes of the two letters together by sliding the stencils together (toward each other). The top corner of the right letter will be on top of the left stencil, but most of its edge will be underneath. (See pic #2)6. Slide the right stencil up (away from yourself) until both stencils’ top edges are aligned again. (See pic #3)7. Gently curve (bend, but do not crease) the right stencil, holding its top corner in place, until you can align the shorter cut edge of the bottom tab with the left stencil’s. (See pic #4)8. Nest the tab cutout holes of the two letters together by sliding the stencils together, again.8. Release the bend in the right stencil so it flattens, and guide its edges until both stencils’ top and bottom edges are aligned. The bottom corner of the right letter will also now be on top of the left stencil, but most of its central edge will be underneath. (See pic #5)8. The stencils are now locked. If you look at the back side, you will see the locking tabs have a kind of ‘arm-in-arm’ (think square dance) effect. (See pic #6)Using the locking tabs makes it easier to align and spraypaint the letters, but it also makes them stick up a tiny bit off your medium, so the edges won't be quite as clean.

These let me get through a sizeable project.
I live in an area at high risk for wildfire. Fire abatement is an ongoing effort here. I wanted to place 5-gallon buckets with lids around the house filled with water and so marked, and I needed to stencil 4 metal trash cans to show gasoline (for the generator) is stored within. All of this is part of assistance plan for firefighters who might be working a fire in this area. These stencils allowed me to get the project done in a day - and most of that was paint dry time. Assembly was easy, and I duct taped them carefully together with a duct tape border for a template. Worked like a charm. I recommend them, and would buy them again.

Fiddly
Worked OK, but quite fiddly to handle. The "locking" system does not work so well. They don't stay together. I had to tape them together. The system also does not keep the letters straight in relation to each other. Good price, but if I were going to use it a lot, I'd have to find a set with a sturdier system for connecting.

Extra benefit.
I bought this to be a gift for my niece to draw pictures. There are 3 set of letters, we dont need to move the letter around. In the beginning we try to spray in colors but it becomes the alphabet puzzles in the end and we play the hangman all afternoon.

Not they easiest to use or handle
You'd think the interlocking system would be good but its not. I leaves a gap between the item and the surface allowing for spillage of paint.

Great idea, poor quality
This is a review for the 1-in size kit. It is like they used a different typeface for these, look at how the “A” is in the included instructions vs. what the stencil is. The #1 is very odd, and many of the other letters and characters have uneven spacing, weird curves, etc. the locking system isn’t perfect, but it gets the job done. Overall, very unhappy with the quality of the product.

Disappointment
Products detailed description was good but it didn't live up to what was promised. Number of alphabets were less than described!

Actual product received doesn't look like the product photos on Amazon.
1. No branding, no MRP listed on actual product received. Pictures of product received as is along with the loose packaging it was received in is attached. Doesn't seem worth the price paid (in india... close to 700 rs for 1 inch set)2. The alphabet cut out seems yo be of same size, but definitely not the entire rectangular pieces. The rectangular pieces are not uniform in size... can't use the edges as reference for aligning when painting etc...3. Received product was white in color and not black as shown in product image.
