Amazon Brand – Pinzon 400-Thread-Count Egyptian Cotton Sateen Pleated Hem Sheet Set - Cal King, Mocha

I was really hesitant to buy these sheets because "400 thread count" doesn't seem very high when you consider all of the marketing tactics typically used when advertising Egyptian Cotton sheets. Some of the reviews said these felt "starchy" and many complained that the sheets were easily wrinkled and the pleated hem was annoying on the pillow sham.I'm pleased to report that NONE of these things were issues for me. I recently tried a set of microfiber sheets toted as the "softest sheets you'll ever own" and while they were soft to the touch, they were hot to sleep in and made me feel mostly uncomfortable. These Pinzon sheets were thick and had nice weight to them but did not retain heat (even in the high heat we've been having this summer.)These sheets were VERY comfortable and I'm glad I decided to take the risk and buy two sets while they were on sale (Prime Day). We have both the "Mocha" which is a nice, clean, crisp beige as well as the "Dusty Blue" which is a light, muted blue color. I do think these wrinkle a bit after washing, but our sheets are covered by a comforter 90% of the time so who can see these wrinkles anyway? The sheets feel great and I'm glad I finally invested in some "Egyptian Cotton" sheets!

Love these sheets, soft and lush! The color is dusty blue and the texture is silky smooth. I like sateen finished sheets; they tend to wear well..Very pleased with this purchase, I may buy more at this price point. UPDATE; too late, they are back to regular price. Still keeping them on my wish list! It sounds like I lucked out, after reading some negative reviews.. I really do like these sheets, and I've spent more than I care to remember on pricier ones, and these are just as good, if not better. Washed once in cold water, tumbled dry low. Wrinkles not a problem and no shrinkage, thankfully.

I received the "Cloud" color and found the sheets to a nice bright white, brighter than the sheets on the picture here and the picture I took. The brightness may vary depending on the brightness setting of your monitor. Be assured, if you're looking for "White" sheets, these will fit the bill. They feel nice and sturdy, not thin like some other brands, and I expect them to hold up for a while.Other reviewers have noted the wrinkles that can show up in the hemming, As you can see in the image below, I noticed a couple wrinkles. Granted, it's a guy talking, but I didn't note so much wrinkling as to make the sheets look ugly. Maybe they're not "military" flat but they'll pass for me. As for the "feel", they feel a bit scratchy but some horse fat, I mean fabric softener may help.Unfortunately, what I didn't notice is they use a Sateen weave. I hope the Sateen fad will eventually move to something else. I have tried an number of different Sateen sheets and I don't find Sateen to help with softness as the name may imply. Worst of all they absorb a LOT of heat. It's rather like sleeping on polyester. I am a warm sleeper and I find myself waking up through the night due to the amount of trapped heat. I have not experienced this problem with cotton sheets until this particular weave showed up in stores. Now I can't find sheets that are not Sateen. If you are in a cold north environment or you're an ice cube in bed, you'll like sateen sheets. If you're warm-blooded like me, you'll feel like you're trapped inside a blast furnace.Both the pillowcases and the top sheet contain large hems as you can see in the attached picture. The hems on the pillowcases don't get in the way of your head with a standard size pillow, but may rub against you if you use a large pillow. The hem on the sheet has a flat underside so it doesn't rub against you -- a nice touch.Hopefully this gives you enough information to help with your purchase.

I didn't want to spend a fortune on sheets like I have in the past & the reviews seemed pretty good so I ordered. Not bad, pretty soft. Got through a hot summer with them and they weren't at all scratchy or hot.One pillow case became faded and discolored after @ 6 months so tossed it. But shockingly for the price, they are holding up well. We got the Mocha and it's like a taupe color. I'd buy another set!

First, these are pretty deep sheets. I've had problems in the past with having to struggle to stretch sheets across whole mattress because they weren't deep enough. These have plenty of room. Second, these are beautiful! A little touch of metallic about it from the sateen quality and the dark silver color. Slept on them last night very soft and comfortable, nice stitching design. Also, pleased to find these were singly ply so less likely to pill. Im thinking. Of buying a backup set bc I like these so much.

I ordered 2 sets of these sheets. I did not check them before washing. Each set was washed separately. When I started putting one set on my bed, I noticed some black marks on both the fitted & top sheets. They were also present on the pillow cases. They looked like dry ink stains, & were impossible to get out. I know this was not caused by my washing machine, since both sets were washed separately, & none of my other laundry had these stains. Very disappointed, as these were bought for my guest bedrooms, & now I'm embarrassed to use them. The texture of the sheets were fine, although they do come out very wrinkled.

I LOVE these sheets! They are a heavy sheet which I like. They remind me of my grandmother's sheets. I don't care for today's "soft" sheets. I like a heavier, crisp, sturdier sheet and these really fit the bill. I have a king size bed with a 6" feather bed on top so I bought the California King size and they fit perfectly. I also really like the stitching design on the top of the sheets and the ends of the pillows. I washed them before use and they were a little wrinkled but I did not mind that at all. I wanted a cotton only sheet, not a blend and I believe that these are just that. I bought the white set and it is a nice bright white, just what I wanted. I will be buying another set and they were a fantastic price. If you like a heavier sheet set, with some body to it, you will like these sheets.

I bought more expensive sheets but these ones are the best. the crispy fresh feeling even after a week of use is wonderful .

Estan excelentes, muy suaves, confortables, su diseño muy bonito.Las recomiendo.
