We used these plates for two catered events this weekend. The plates are strong, and each is slightly unique with beautiful natural patterns. We got a lot of compliments from guests!I was concerned looking at other reviews about whether the plated would get soggy after a while but this was not an issue at all. We served pastas, salads and desserts with sauces on the plates, and there were absolutely no problems. (In fact, a week before the event, I poured tomato sauce and cream sauce and salad dressing all over some test plates and let them sit in my kitchen. The bottoms got slightly flexible after about 6 hours but never leaked. I decided six hours was quite long enough, so I stopped the experiment at that point.)We will definitely be using these plates at every future event!

I want so badly to rate this higher. I ordered 4 packages for an event and 2 of the packages look great - 5*. But they other two packages contain misshappen plates that look like they got folded up in the process, won't stack and need trimmed around the edges. I honestly cannot understand the vast difference in quality. If you are lucky enough to get the good ones you will love them. If not, they will still be usable.

I just love these! Some of them are less attractive than others (it's a natural product, obviously they won't all be uniform) but it was so worth it. We used them for our wedding, and had several left over to reuse for a cookout a few weeks later. It was so wonderful to just throw the plates into the fire pit, instead of hauling bulky trash bags out of our house and contributing to the land fill. They are very sturdy, I didn't have any issue with leakage (even the collards and saucy barbecue didn't soak through when the plates were left out for some time) or breakage. I can look past a few "ugly" plates in the bunch for such an economical and environmental choice. I cant say for certain, but I did shop around for a good while comparing costs of palm leaf plates and other similar materials, and I believe CaterEco was the best price I found.

Great quality plates. Thick, sturdy and really cool looking. Bought them for a rehearsal dinner and people didn't realize they were paper at first. They dress up well with an elegant table setting.Will buy again.

I love these plates!! We used them for a western theme party and everyone thought they were so cool. They held up perfectly with hot foods and cold foods. Some of the plates are just the pale color (as you see in the photo) but the rest have the cool darker brown running through them just as shown. Everyone loved these plates. When the party was over, we used the leftover plates as kindling in the fireplace.

These plates are really awesome. I bought them for a party and guests were really impressed and kept asking me about them and what they were made of. Very high-end look and a great price. Plus each plate is unique as none look exactly the same which makes it even cooler. They are also very durable and a thick material.

Hit of the party! You’d think people would talk about the food or decor or wine, but instead they kept asking, “Where did you find these?” I was torn whether the greenhouse footprint was larger than the impact of using these plates but I purchased enough for several parties, so hopefully it evens it out. They held up beautifully.

I held a family function with 20 attendees. Many commented on how elegant the plates looked and how sturdy they were. I served a complete hot meal, including a meat dish with gravy , and the plates remained sturdy. I felt good about the fact that they were totally compostible. I would definitely purchase them again.

The plates are environmentally friendly, but there are ragged portions, where the dried palm leaves have loosened their binding.

Les assiettes sont originales et jolies, chacune est unique.J'ai pris un lot de 25 petites et un de 25 grandes. Résultat : 6 petites cassées et une grande.Par contre, il faut passer un coup d'éponge ou les laver carrément avant de les utiliser.Elles pourront tout même être réutilisées une ou deux fois pas plus.Dans l'ensemble ça va, sauf la casse heureusement que j'ai vu large.

I used these plates in place of standard paper plates for my wedding this past summer and they were great! They're very sturdy and have a great look to them. I would definitely buy these again!

Liked the looks of them. Half of the plates fell apart and most of the other ones seem very strong. Not good value for the amount you pay.
