Talk to your vet first
My dog has prostate cancer. He takes an anti-inflammatory that can cause ulcers. I thought this product would help him but it didn't seem to help, he still had stomach upset. I went with a different product that seems to work. The product is non-returnable/non-refundable that is why the 3 stars. My dog loves the flavor so no issues there. Just be sure to talk to your vet first. Keep in mind when using this product it can interfere with absorbing medications and supplements, so it needs to be administered at least 2 hours before or after medicating, which can be tricky depending on your daily schedule.

Works great!
My dog was diagnosed with acid reflux. I was not comfortable giving him the amount of medication my vet prescribed, especially since he is already on other medication. So I did some research and found out about slippery elm. The reviews were great and I have to say, I totally agree! To be fair, i love and respect my vet. So I am doing the best of both worlds by giving him the prescribed medication only one time a day and giving the slippery elm in place of it the other time. My dog is doing great and seems to not mind the maple smelling flavor of the se. I feel good about giving my dog something natural versus another synthetic medication.

My dog is healthier because of this product, Slippery Elm. A little goes a long way. My dog is 13 now and will have this the rest of her life.

Natural powder for EPI digestion issues in dogs
This powder was recommended by an EPI (endocrine pancreatic insufficiency) site for dogs. My German Shepherd was diagnosed with EPI a little over a year ago. He was having some issues around his rectum with inflammation. This powder worked quickly to eliminate the problem. I use it with every meal for him. No big issues since.
