AUTLEAD Shop Vac 5.5 Gallon 5.5 Peak HP Wet Dry Vacuum with Attachments

Ok...so I bought this vac for several reasons ; 1. I liked the compactness of the unit , it's overall appearance and the ergonomics . I really like how the carry handle was engineered . It just has a really solid , quality feel to it . 2. For its size , it has a seemingly powerful motor . ( 1200 watts @10 amps . ) 3. Overall , the build quality is impressive . The parts are not cheap , thin , or flimsy . The vacuum canister , the hoses and tools all seem to be constructed of solid , quality plastics . The only concern I have is the power button . It does not press consistently . Sometimes it clicks firmly , sometimes it doesn't seem to depress cleanly without catching on the inner button housing . This may be ado about nothing because so far it has powered up the unit each time with no other problems .4. The User Manual . Virtually useless . It does not explain how to use a few of the included parts . As an example there is a rubber ring that apparently must be in place on top of the rim of the vacuum canister so that you are able to correctly lock the paddles on each side of the canister that secure the motor/top to the canister . There is no mention of this part in the manual , nor is there any mention of putting it on the vacuum for the purpose as I described .Now , the reason for my low rating is simply this - unavailability of filters and bags , as well as replacement parts . It seems that Autlead does not have ANY consumer support or parts resources available to maintain this vacuum . I have spent the better part of an evening searching for replacement vacuum bags and a replacement wet/dry filter . I have not yet found a replacement wet/dry filter that will fit this unit . I did find a really excellent vacuum bag . It is a HEPA vacuum bag for a 5-8 gallon " shop vac " , sold by a business called Casa Vacuums , an Amazon vendor . This bag is moderately larger than the supplied paper bag , but it fits . I put the bag on the bag nozzle and powered up my vacuum and it works just fine . Overall , this is a really nice vacuum . It is mostly a great deal for the money . It's well made , aesthetically pleasing , and for the price has a very capable motor . Unfortunately , since there is no after purchase parts support , the purchase value takes a hit .8/20/2019 Update ; I revised my rating upwards . The seller , to their credit , has contacted me attempting to resolve my dissatisfaction. They have offered to do everything in their ability to resolve the problem . Can't ask for more than that . 👍

First the CONS: Owner's Manual is crap; 3 Piece Vacuum Wand is Flimsy; Wheels will not roll well on carpet & tips over; The hose is about 1 1/2" Diameter and will plug up if it sucks in a 1 3/4" object; very noisyNow the Pros: Price was less the $45.00; Comes with 3 Filters: Dust Filter; Disposable Bag Filter; and Permanent Dirt Filter. You do not use both the Permanent Dirt Filter and the Bag Filter at the same time. The Permanent Filter looks like a big round strainer and interferes with the Vacuum Bag. They both work well, but use one or the other. The Dust Filter is smaller and white and twists onto the bottom of the Vacuum Lid and Motor. Excellent Suction with both water and dry material; 16 foot electrical cord You can buy any 5.5 gallon wet or dry vacuum filters and they will fit this vacuum. Fortunately Wand is a standard size and I substituted a sturdy stainless steel wand from on old vacuum. Attach hose to top of Vacuum and it acts as a blower for leaves, etc. Attach to the side of the vacuum and it provides suction. Important Note: You do not have to buy expensive vacuum bags if you use the permanent Dirt Filter. All the dirt goes directly into the canister and simply dump it out when full.

a product since my iPOD! I received my new Autlead Shop Vac a week ago but hadn't had the chance to use it until today. I opened it, toyed with all of the pieces, put it together with ease and plugged it in.I was happily surprised to the degree that I started vacuuming EVERYTHING!!.First, I need to disclose we have a German Shepherd - a heavy shedder!I have a Dyson and its good but this Autlead has shown to be better!Secondly, I have a 7 year old. His small toys are EVERYWHERE!!I've told him, if you don't pick up, I'm going to vacuum it up.To him that means its going in the trash.My experience -* With the floor brush attachment I was able to vacuum the dog bed without the hose fixating and sucking one spot.* Cleaned dog hair on the rugs with little effort or fighting to keep it from sucking up the rug.* I have no carpet in my home and was able to vacuum the dust bunnies UNDER my bed without moving the bed. The floor attachment can be positioned at an angle that allowed me to just pass the wand under the bed.* I didn't have to pre-pick up any of my son's small toys (Legos, cut up paper, crayons, etc) prior to passing the vacuum.Anything that got sucked up and he wanted to keep, he had to fish it out of the drum.* I can get in cracks that I can't get into with my Dyson.* The floor attachment has adapters that can be added - and neither one of the SCRAP the floor. You know that sound - nails on a chalkboard! There are mini rollers on the floor attachments which is what drew me to this model.* The suction was so powerful I was able to vacuum the dryer vent surface with little effort. I cleaned only the surface but I've not been able to do that with my Dyson. Imagine how clean I can get it when I open the dryer to access the exhaust vent!! Next project ;-)* Cleaned the fireplace to get it ready for the fall.The BEST part - ANYTHING you picked up and need to retrieve (Legos or anything you couldn't see under your bed that got sucked up) you can pick out of the drum with little effort. I used without the dust bags. Nothing got stuck in the wand/hose. No blow back from the blowing outlet.Pros:* Great sucking power* Lots of attachments* Light and mobile* Easy to clean inside of bin* This thing picks up EVERYTHING!! Dog hair, Legos, Paper, Crayons, Sticks, Screws, Dog food and Rocks!!Cons:* Loud - but the Pros out weigh the Cons* Wish it had better Cord Storage incorporated on the unit. - I'll figure it out.

I love it. The extra filter prevent dirt blow out when tank is full. The hose is a little small, about 2"+/- so your not gonna pick up anything big. And a little short from what I'm used to. If the hosr was 3"+ wider and 6" longer,than Iwould give it 5 stars. And the bag fits inside underneath the large filter if you need to bag something otherwise it'll just go directly into the tank. Rolls behind great to.
