EastonMAKO Leg Guard

I have used these leg guards for a couple of years now. I pitch in softball, and have taken some line drives off the shin, and wanted something to give me some protection. (Too many players don't know how to hit to right field with power, and end up hitting it up the middle when they try.) These guards have held up well for what I use them for. They are actually very comfortable, and I have pretty good mobility in them. They have also done exactly what I needed them for. A few less knots on my legs thanks to these.

Great product. Well made. The only issue is the thigh strap tends to loosen easily and I notice my son adjusting it frequently during games.

I bought the youth for my son. The fit is just a tad big for my son but that was expected based on what I measured my sons leg and what the size is (12.75"), so I'd say the size is pretty accurate. My son really likes it and says it comfortable. Looks well made and appears to have good ventilation. Good protection everywhere and the weight is good. I would recommend.

Superior protection as the guards go up above the knee caps. I was concerned about the "intermediate" size fitting my 11 year old. He was in the junior sizes before but has outgrown them (he's 4'11" and about 100 lbs). The intermediate size sounded so big but it was my only option if I needed bigger than junior, so I went for it. They do fit him! Obviously he has room for growth but they do fit and our catching coach said that now he doesn't look like he's wearing Lego-catchers gear (meaning the junior sized gear looked like miniature Lego pieces strapped on him). Love these.

I bought these for my high school age son who is 6'0 tall. Initially, he thought they were too big. After trying them on, he realized that the ones he had for years were too small. The ease, comfort, and protection of these is superior. My son is quite particular about how things fit and feel and he is thrilled with these. Least importantly - to me - he loves them because he thinks they look really cool.

These are excellent leg guards. They have a larger coverage area than the old gear we were using. They are light wait and my son says they are comfortable. Easton did a great job designing these. Make sure that you measure for the correct size though. You can find a sizing chart on Easton's website or just search for catchers leg guard sizing chart. They are somewhat expensive but they have been worth it, and seem like they will last a long time.

These shin guards are made for men only. Not teenage girls entering college. They are way to wide for fastpitch. The previews reviews are misleading.

My daughter plays travel softball in Maryland. We have a variety of weather conditions to play in. (This past spring we had more snow-outs than rain outs.) Beginning in very cold weather and progressing through a very hot and muggy summer. She needed a new setup so I researched and found this MAKO series which is very flexible, good protection, and well ventilated. So far it has performed admirably and my daughter is "cooler" in both the fashion sense (the kit looks great!) and in the physical sense (much cooler in hot situations. Great buy.
