Great bang for the buck...so far
I have a serious issue with buying backpacks. I have so many. This particular bag is going to be a "get home" bag for my wife. My criteria were: Cordura, >30 liters, <$100. I'm excited to say that this bag is going to do exactly what I want it to. There is some organization but not too much. The straps are padded but not too wide. The bar tacks appear to be correct. I'd like to see more stitches/inch, construction-wise but I can't complain considering the price point. One thing the pictures aren't showing clearly is that there appears to be two separate laptop compartments. The one closes to one's back is a little smaller, the next one back a bit bigger. Both are padded. The zipper on the closer one is shaped like an upside-down "U" and the sliders have loops for a luggage lock. The larger compartment is only accessible from the left side (as it's worn). My only concern is the zippered side-entry flap. Time will tell but I'm only loading this with about 15 lbs and not taxing the volume so I suspect we're good. If that changes, I'll revisit this review and update it.

More space than it looks!
This bag was purchased for my son to take to Air Force Basic Military Training. At first we both were concerned it wasn't going to be enough room - but there was so much more than it appears! The access pockets and sections are just right! I told my son if he ever got rid of the bag and didn't give it back to me he'd be in big trouble! I want one now too!

Adequate, but not a great build. Materials okay.
I bought directly from Cannae. I got this pack because its smaller than carry-on size and I need to travel light. It’s alright, but not amazing. Not made in America quality. The build is adequate, not excellent. One of the seams is squished, but probably does it job (see photo). The seam holding the foam in one of the straps is seriously offset, which causes the piece holding the chest strap to lip over towards the user. It may cause rubbing in use. Will see if it’s correctable. Overall an adequate but not a great build. Foam in arm straps feel cheap but hard to know until use. Not American build quality. Mildly amusing that Garland Thumb shills these nut bags. How the mighty have fallen. Don’t believe the battle ready hype. It’s an average bag of average quality. Design is okay. Materials good. Needs some QA/QC uptick on whatever foreign factory they’re building these out of. Will modify this review if I like it any better after use. Sometime products surprise me after use, will see. Camelbak or Osprey this is not.Updates: I loaded it out. It’s all right. It’s the right size. Still worried that the seams will blow out with heavy use. It’s maybe a $80 to $90 bag, not $110 plus shipping (I forget exactly what I paid but it was over $110 and this is a sub-$100 bag). I like it a little better now that it’s loaded out. It’s the right size for my use, which I why I bought it. It’s not junk, but for what I paid, it doesn’t quite live up to the price point. Hope it holds up. I wouldn’t necessarily take this over a camelback for hard use. [fer instance, i bought a rubicon for something like $165. Very different bag: very big, very heavy, but the build quality is phenomenal in comparison.] Will see how well this little bag ages. Those shoulder straps better not blow out. It’s reasonable to expect to be able to lift a bag up by the shoulder straps.Update: I used it. It’s all right. The back panel is the best feature. The straps are adequate and didn’t blow out on me. The weakest part of this bag are the zippers. The zippers maybe will probably rip out with time and use. I’m glad this particular model has fewer zippers, but if/when they blow out, the bag is toast without major repair. Some of the Cannae models subject the zipper to force loading when lifting the bag by the top carry handle. If those models’ zippers are the same quality and construction as this model, it’s going to gnarly bad when they blow out dude.Overall, I like the pack mostly. It fit the need, I’d use it again.
