A very interesting book
A fascinating book, covering all aspects of life in the WAAF during World War II. After reading it I was sufficiently impressed to buy copies as gifts for other family members, as our late mother had been in the WAAF.

WAAF @ War, A Good Overiew... BUT
A good overview of the Woman's Auxiliary Air Force in World War II, but the writing leaves some things to be desired. For instance, more details about the women pictured (e.g. Aimee de Neve) would have been appreciated. The book did though give a through appreciation of the important & crucial roles British women played in the WAAF to win WWII - from ferrying planes to maintaining airports to running barrage balloons to special operations to processing intelligence to yes, being nurses and maintaining aircraft. More roles than able to list here.
