I spent e number of months looking for the right MiFi device. I looked at a few others but realized that they all need a sim card which is a problem when you are in countries such as India where it can take up to 3 days to get a sim card. I found the Macaroon device and when I learnt it had a cloud based sim built in this was very attractive. This solves all the problems of trying to get a local sim and allows you to connect straight away. Once I made the purchase I had some questions and the Macaroon support team are fantastic and supportive. Overall, its so easy to connect, being app based makes it so easy to check how much data is left or add more data. The cost to top up seems fair and the option of various packages across a range of countries is great. I am very impressed and solves my problem when I am abroad and getting Internet is difficult. I am travelling to Egypt soon where the WIfi is poor and excited that I can be connected should I need to do any work or have any issues. Great product from Macaroon and great support makes it probably the best product on the market right now. For me having the cloud sim, app to manage and easy to use makes this a great device.

The media could not be loaded. Worked just one month. Now it’s freezing at 49%. Tried to contact their customer service with no luck. Spent extra money for the powerbank as well. Spent extra money for data plan. I did factory reset as well. Unbind and bind again on mobile app. Nothing seems to work. Will edit this review if someone will reach me out with a solution.

Great product. Easy to use. Turn it on in the morning and leave in your pack/bag all day whilst out touring. One small niggle is that the top up deals don't seem to be as good as the included data package and are more harshly time limited.

The item came about 2 weeks after ordering (which is when they said it would); following the instructions is easy and it works straight out the box - no problems on that score! However, I had a problem when trying to pair it with the App (they use the term 'Bind' rather than 'Pair') and that was down to me registering the gadget on my personal e-mail account and then (for whatever reason - a senior moment perhaps) registering the app on my work e-mail address. So the App would not 'speak' to the unit and therefore the App had no real functionality in terms of telling me how much data was left etc etc (although I could still buy data bundles - which confused me too!). So, I got in touch with Customer Service in China and they could not have been more helpful and charming (thank you Jessica) - so now I have the Macaroon and the App configured to the same e-mail address and all is great. I also did a cost benefit analysis of renting similar routers from airports and buying this one outright and I estimate this one will pay for itself within 12 months - so, on that front alone, a no-brainer (and it doesn't need a sim card - but it can use one) ... and last, but most emotionally, it's proven very popular with the teenage family members when we went on holiday to "somewhere without wifi - shock horror" ... I nearly had a revolution on my hands!

This is an excellent device. Used this in India a month ago and it worked very well, even in remote areas and villages. It is very easy to setup and use, small and light weight - so it can be carried with ease in pocket or bag. Battery life is very good and can also be charged on the go which the fitted USB charging cable.

This is a great gadget for travelling, when you need to stay connected. I used this last week in the UK for internet service and can report all worked well. The only issue I had was the initial set up and scanning the Q code as instructed. I found no Q code on the back of the device. This was due to the device I received has now got a protective cover on the back, which after some fiddling, unscrewed and found the Q code. From there the set up went smoothly. I am off to Spain in the new year, so will see how the device works out there.

I had this for a couple of days then returned it. The instructions are very poor - and the screen fiddly to use. I could have lived with this were it not for the fact that a full charge only lasted 3 hours! I bought a different one.

This is a very compact and lightweight gadget which may justify the price. It took a bit of tech know how to set it up but now that's done, I think it will be very useful as I travel quite a lot. The support has been prompt and thorough. I did actually buy it to use in Mozambique but unfortunately find that I can't.I will look forward to being able to purchase top ups in sterling rather than dollars and am assured this will soon be the case.

Wir haben den Router für's Campen und Wandern uns angeschafft, da oft kein Wlan unterwegs vorhanden war. Der Router funktioniert super. Das Einrichten war sehr leicht, eigentlich nur anschalten und sich entprechend einlocken. Und sofort stehen einem 5GB zur Verfügung. Der Akku reicht ca. ein Tag, läd sich aber relativ schnell wieder auf. Da er sehr klein ist (etwa wie ein Cremedose) nehmen wir ihn grad überall in der Tasche mit. Die Reichweite ist auch erstaulich. Man kann fast den ganzen Campingplatz mit Wlan versorgen :-) Das Aufladen mit Datenvolumen wurde noch nicht getestet. Mit der dazugehöringen App läß sich aber ganz easy das entsprechende Wunschpaket aussuchen. Ich denke es sollte kein Problem sein. Wir können es auf jeden Fall Weiterempfehlen.

L'hotspot sembra funzionare molto bene. Per ora sono riuscito ad usarlo con successo in Svezia, Svizzera e Stati Uniti (e Italia per provarlo). In tutti questi stati la connessione e' stata 4G a velocita' molto buona. Il che vuol dire che veramente supporta tutte le frequenze che dice.Il suo uso e' intuitivo ed e' possibile configurarlo tramite l'app Urocomm (store Android, immagino ci sia anche per iOS).Forse l'unica pecca e' il tempo di avvio e per trovare il segnale. Ci impiega tra i 2 e i 4 minuti ad avviarsi la prima che entrate in una nuova nazione, le volte successive ci impiega circa 1 minuti ad accendersi. Anche la batteria sembra tenere bene, non l'ho ancora provato estensivamente ma 8 ore con traffico medio dovrebbe reggerle.Non ho avuto modo di testare la SIM esterna, ma non vedo motivi per i quali non dovrebbe andare.

Je peut suivre tous mes donnés grâce a l'application !Cette appareil de wifi de poche fonctionnne très bien , j'ai pu créé un réseau privé de plus il est de petite taille donc transportable partout !Je conseil a tous ceux qui aiment le voyage .

Funciona perfectamente, tienes wifi en cualquier lugar, en el coche, o caminando.Lo compré para pasa un fin de semana en otro país y fue todo un exito, fucionó de maravilla. Llevé dos móviles y un autoradio con wifi sin ningún parón, spotify, maps, netflix, todo funcionaron bien. No he usado la opción de meter tarjeta SIM, porque no he gastado todo mi cuota, pero estoy segura que funciona igualmente. ¡Muy recomendable!

Me encanta. Me mudaba a piso nuevo sin wifi instalado con dos niños adictos a las pantallas y ha sido la salvación.
