It's a shovel
It's a folding polymer shovel, not a lot to say about it. Feels sturdy. Technically called the Glock 15, so that's kinda cool.

An exceptional beach shovel for kids
I have been using an original (Ames) E-tool for probably 8yrs to dig a giant water hole in the sand for my kids. The "toy" shovels are junk and always break. That E-tool has given good service, and is very durable. In spite of saltwater, sand, and neglect, I expect to still use it when my kids have kids. But, it has some drawbacks that the Glock E-tool doesn't. The original E-tool has an edge sharpened like a knife or a saw, it also has some pinch points that can catch skin when opening/closing, and some sharp corners that can give blisters during heavy use, plus, the lock-nut can get jammed with sand or rust.By contrast, the Glock E-tool is lighter, smoother with no rough spots to cause blisters or pinches, it isn't sharpened (kid-safe), and so far it's been very tolerant of sand without jamming. My only concern is I wonder how bad its going to rust after having been dunked in the ocean. This is only year one; time will tell. On smooth edges & kid-safety alone, I'll probably buy a second Glock E-tool as beach equipment for next year. If rusting becomes a problem I'll add mention of it here.

No pouch, not oem packaged.
Item did not include pouch, came in plastic bag. No previous signs of use but did not come in oem packaging. The above picture is the packaging the item should have come in if it was new.

I like it
I chose this over the commonly-mentioned Gerber E-tool, and I believe the Glock spade is a better design. It's substantially lighter, the shovel blade is free from obtrusion, the handle is more maneuverable, and it comes with a convenient saw. I keep this spade in the trunk of my car, and have used it on numerous occasions to clear snow.I like the fact that the blade can be locked at several angles, and in my use, it has been sturdy and reliable.

the best E-Tool in the world
search high and low, you won't find a better E-Tool. great for digging, chopping, and cutting roots. worth $40-$50. very handy to have while backpacking.
