The media could not be loaded. Easy to use with the 3 program button on top. Crazy durable, takes a beating,sounds great. We are painting contractors I bought this for my partner who has to have music playing all the time. It needed to be plugged innot rechargeable, have a digital tuner, stations needed to be programed in. This thing take a beating, gets wet, painted ,I bought several extra antenna because we keep breaking them.all you do is turn it on hit your programed button and that's it other than volume. we love it. it's perfect

This sony cd player boombox is great. Simple and straight forward. Funny thing is I ordered the wrong one. I was looking at another model that had Bluetooth capability but had saved this one as well. But to my surprise this one sounds great too and I’m glad it doesn’t have Bluetooth. Takes me back to simpler days. Enjoying it very much.

Sounds pretty good except the bass isn't as deep as a larger boom boxes. This is very small. I've only been using the usb port with a thumb drive. Plays well. Would be better if it had a shuffle mode.

I bought this product for use at the Drive in movie theater to avoid idling my vehicle. I received it today and used the AC power to test the FM radio function, it works well, comes in clear (Colorado Springs tuning) and has great volume. It gets louder than I expected and doesn’t wobble with higher volume. This is day one, I’m waiting to get C Batteries (6) to text the portability and will update if it changes my 5 star rating.

This unit has most of the features anyone would want...AM/FM, CD player that plays MP3s, a USB input, etc. The misleading part is the speakers. This unit is advertised as having mega bass, which is just not true. [Different versions of this boombox have a "mega bass" button, which this one does not. However, reading the reviews, many people say there is no real difference.] There is barely any bass at all, and no way to influence the output in any way. The good news is that it has a headset jack (not all of their competitors do). I bought an inexpensive Bluetooth transmitter and plugged it into the headset jack, and paired it with a Bluetooth headset. The bass is back! As long as you don't mind a tinny sound from the speakers, or use the headset most of the time, you will be in good shape.UPDATE: SONY does not provide a warranty for this model in the US. I talked with them directly. This is an "international unit" that is available for warranty only in Mexico and Australia. So it looks like we are on our own if something breaks. Also, the copy here says that the boombox has 20 available presets for radio; there are only three.

When it was working it was great. But systems just kept failing. First the battery compartment failed and it would only work plugged in. Then the CD player began intermittently failing to read a cd, but we could restart it and it would work. Then the cd player developed a clicking sound, not loud but noticeable. Then the failures to read the cd started increasing and lasting longer to where it worked less than it failed to work. Eventually the cd's would not load at all. Then the radio gave out and would not tune anymore. All this happened in the first 8 months.

Small and portable, but good sound. This is the 2nd one for us. The 1st one lasted prob 10-15 years. If we get that from this one, 👍🏻

I purchased this product to use in my living room when I did not want to watch television.I have other sound systems but they are too cumbersome to move or operate. I canspend hours reading and listening to music. For that reason alone, it is worth the price.
