Here goes my objective review: Decided to return after attempting with no success to install one of the struts. I found them UNSAFE considering they have to hold the weight of the lift gate. The plastic tip on the threaded end of the cylinder was found loosen and wiggling with no possibility to keep it in place. Also the material of clip of the tip is not rigid enough and it does not get back to its original shape. Other options of struts in the market offer the tip integrated to the cylinder with no possibility to wiggle while in place. They might be more expensive but “Safety First”. Unfortunately I can not recommend this product.

Original set on my 2011 pilot from Honda rusted out and finally just failed to open.The Honda stealer ( dealer ) wanted more than $75. But amazon saved me a lot of money.It is easy to install. Shipped quickly.The struts were a little too exited in beginning like a catapult but gotten better with more use.

Five minutes to install works better than factory. A bit stiff to be sure kind of like a mini workout just to close the tailgate now!

nice liftgate struts. easy replacement on wifes 2011 Honda Pilot. Too bad she totalled it a couple weeks later...

Quick install, does what it’s supposed to. Didn’t give it 5 stars because it works a little to good. Slight work out closing my tailgate now. Hopefully it’s just has to break itself in a little.
