The tool holster is an absolute game changer!
This comes with a bunch of very useful widgets. I was concerned about not being able to switch the side of the release lever on these, but i do think for most tools that the fixed orientation of these ones is the right one. I might get another pro clip later on, I'm thinking having 3 of these clips might be ideal and 4 should be overkill, but it probably makes sense if you also go for attaching spider pins to a hammer and tape measure too. I think even with a normal 1.25 inch belt, the spider holster adds a lot of comfort to clipping on heavy tools. It's more flexible than the belt clip that comes with tools because it can rotate. I suggest trying different positions with the set screw tightening clips to see where you can get really good ergonomics with it. It is absolutely comfortable with any normal belt to hang lighter 12v tools and stuff like water bottles, tape measure, etc. I got a massive 4 inch wide tool belt and I'm realizing it's overkill but that thing will make it really comfortable to hang huge 18V tools and huge amounts of nails/screws and an entire half the toolbox on your person. I was going to make the spider holster a centerpiece of that rig, which it will be, but most of the time I will simply be clipping the spider holster on my regular pants belt and it will be more than adequate (I'm not in the trades, I just got really tired of inefficiently walking back and forth picking up and putting down my tools when working on home improvements). On my M12 tools the screw for the clip (which I used with the separately purchased tool pins) is near the top, this can make it harder to reach and I think I would prefer a lefty style holster clip, which I will need to get, but either way it's still really easy to disengage the lock. On all the tools that you bount the pin/nub on the bottom of the tool (like larger tools like M18 and all of the tools i use the set screw clip on, where it will go on the bottom of the grip) it hangs down and the holster clip lock release is completely effortless to reach. Those "pro tool grip" clips actually were the biggest surprise of this kit. Because they use the perfect material so it attaches really firmly to your tool, all the while not digging into and damaging the rubber grip of the tool, so it's a great way to get a great deal of control over where to put the pin/nub on the tool. I have several M12 tools that have no screw attachment for the screw pins, and these work GREAT on them. After seeing these I am not sure there is a point to the "elastic attachment strap" product. I'm sure that one is also great but these set screw tightening clips are really secure and much cheaper. I was reading about drill holsters but I just knew that there had to be something better. This design is better because you are not strapping on a large 5 inch wide contraption that can only be used for a few things. With these holster clips you're able to do so much more with less bulk. Now, you do gotta buy into the platform, but I'd say the value is definitely there, and the quality is top notch. I love the bit holders too. At first I was slightly disappointed that these weren't the magnetic ones but these could very well be even better than the magnetic ones... There is no more convenient place to store bits than on the tool itself If you're concerned about cost I bet it's pretty easy to design something yourself that has the right shape.

Love this system!!
This has been - by far - my favorite method of carrying my tools around while on a job. It's SOOO quick and easy to take the tool on and off my belt with this. I bought the "Quad" kit, and I've used most of it. In fact, I've found that most days I just slide the clip onto my belt just in case I need to grab my impact driver at some point during the day. I know that seems a little crazy but it's quarantine we're all crazy now. I've hand no trouble sliding my tools in and out of the clip. And when I'm moving around a ton it's nice to know that the lock will keep the tool in place. I've never had it slip out on me, like I have with other tool holders. The bit holders I initially viewed as a silly throw-in, and now they might be my favorite part of the kit. I absolutely LOVE these things. I put two of them on my DeWalt impact driver and I have all six slots loaded at all times with the 6 bits that I use the most often. I gave this system 5 stars and I stand by it. That doesn't mean there aren't things I dislike though. They just aren't enough to keep me from absolutely loving this system. But here they are anyway: - the "open" mechanism simply doesn't stay in place. There's a lever you lift up to release the tool, and if you pull it all the way up it supposedly sticks there and now you can take a tool on and off and it won't be locked in place. I like this feature for the times when I'm doing something where I need my drill in rapid succession. I also like it for times when I'm purely taking measurements and I want to be able to quickly take a tape measure on and off the clip. But the mechanism locks back down SUPER easily so that feature is essentially worthless. Hopefully they'll fix that in the future. I wouldn't even mind having a clip with no lock at all (they could make it a different color to keep track or something). - the bit holders - which I adore - are billed as being able to hold up to 6 bits in each unit as long as they're the stubby kind that you put into an extension bit. Yes, this is technically possible and I did it for a while, but I found that those bits fall out much too easily. Now I only keep full-sized bits in those sleeves so they fit 3 in each unit. I just put two of them on one drill and then I have six bits again :) - while I like the design, I will say that the tools get a little wobbly on you, and rotate into awkward positions. If there's a bit in your drill, sometimes that ends up poking you a little. It's not the end of the world, but a minor annoyance. - I've put the straps on heavier tools, but naturally I've found there's a limit. Frankly, this isn't for anything much heavier than a hammer drill. I have the straps on my drill, driver, and a cable stapler I use, and that last one is the heaviest I go. I tried it on a cordless brad nailer once and it was way too heavy for my belt and pants to hold up comfortably. That's it! I love this system and strongly recommend it.

Great idea, poor execution, PLEASE SEE EDIT
Save yourself time and money. The bit holders do not stay on worth a damn. This was after giving the area some teeth and cleaning thoroughly. You will want to apply with some C.A. The actual strap that goes around the drill or impact driver doesn't really work on Dewalt units. After trying on six different units I do not like it as the motor does not hang right and sits up way to high on my hip. Its unnatural and a pain in my butt. They need to make a rigid lanyard for the motor to hang down further and this way the motor will hang right. The center of gravity is all off. The metal clip that comes on most dewalts hangs almost even with the end of the battery (2ma). This is a great concept but not totally thought through. The adhesive used on the bit accessory holder probably, and should be a nonaerobic. EDIT: Since this company came out with the screw in pins that can be implanted where the normal belt clips are attached it has made the balance MUCH improved. Three items of importance: 1. The adhesives still require improvement. I am using shoe glue on a wrap for one DeWalt and the 3000 adhesive on a different DeWalt. Seems both are doing better than expected. 2. The screw in pins MUST be inserted with a coat of REMOVABLE Loctite. Nothing like $200 drill falling from 12'. Because of a weird angled job over two days, somehow the pin unscrewed and committed suicide due to operator error. I wish these guys would precoat the pin threads with a Loctite type adhesive. 3. I purchased 2 pins for each motor for efficiency when the only area access is on the other side of my body. SUMMARY: Still rated it a five star because it's easy to use, built hardy, and customizable.

ITS WORTH YOUR MONEY!!
GREAT!! Used and abused for probably 2+ months, but unfortunately may not be up to par for stuff I do. Worked great with no issues until it snapped off. HIGHLY recommend, may need to find stronger bolt

Reliable and Worth It – Proven Over Time
ve been using these for about a year now. At first I was skeptical, but they’ve completely proven me wrong. I’ve never had one break, and I’ve never had any issues with them coming loose or failing. They hold tools securely and make carrying gear way more convenient, especially when you’re moving around a lot. They’re easy to use, clip in and out smoothly, and just make your workflow more efficient without getting in the way. Overall, totally worth it. I’ll definitely keep buying these.

Best add on for tools
I’ll tell you this much , I’m a carpenter by trade . Been doing it for close to 20 years now . I was skeptical because I saw the Velcro . DO NOT BE PUT OFF BECAUSE OF THAT !! This is one of the best purchases for an add on that I have made . It is put together very well and works like a charm . It has the ability to be locked on the clip . It has a small trigger that has to be pressed in order for the drill or whatever u use it for to come out and can either lock it open or use the trigger every time . The trigger is placed perfect so when u grab the tool it feels natural to press as u pull the drill out . You shouldn’t be disappointed. I say shouldn’t because sometimes things are damaged during travel . That’s it . Otherwise you WILL BE HAPPY WITH IT ( I will note that this wasn’t a paid review of any sort , I’m just really happy with it ) by no means does it feel cheap , that’s because it was well built Honest Con about it ? The little stick on drill bit holder won’t stick to dirty surfaces and I use it for roofing so I don’t use that part but I do put it with the bits in my pocket

It's great, however it needs improvement
I am a demolition specialist, a framer, finisher, laborer, steel panel technician and we build everything from additions to large pole barns and turkey barns. Factory hooks on drills take time and can fall from pretty far up. Gorilla hook is very sturdy or built for everyday use. Here is my honest and construction opinion I hope this goes to the engineering and design team I like that you gave me a zip tie to fasten around the drill. I am always climbing through obstacles, trusses so I have to also squeeze my tool belt, drill and whatever else is attached to me through those obstacles. I have been at it for three weeks since I bought this things. I am impressed but it does take a beating. The Velcro loosens up very quick and doesnt hold very well. It slides around the drill handle so after using the drill you can bump the velcro attachment and move how it was positioned. In my use so far I've accidentally moved it quite a ways around the handle, having to stop to fix the position to holster it. The zip tie puts an end to all of that. I read a comment about the latching system and I could not agree more with what they said. That is frustrating, especially when everyone is waiting on you to set your end of the steel and your screwing around with your holster trying to either latch it in or unlatch it. Accidentally hitting the lever a ridiculous amount of times is quite frustrating. As the other person mentioned I may also cut the lever shorter. What would be nice is a safety mechanism seen on Safariland pistol holsters, just a thumb depress. Push the drillgun into the holster and boom automatically locks, secure in holster, not going anywhere. Then just grab the drill gun, push the button with your thumb and draw the drill out. When your done just push it back in the holster, automatically locks. That is simple and easy to remember instead of cocked up, cocked down, half cocked, almost cocked but not enought to allow the drill in, accidentally hitting the level every minute of your work day, at least I would think Lastly, I saved this for last because I find it the weak point of the entire system. At first glance the bracket that goes onto the belt just didn't seem correct in its design, it seemed more of a cell phone holder design for a normal belt. It will fit over a normal tool belt, but barely. It does not have any way to lock onto your belt, it just slides over your belt, a clip on. The issue is using an impact with a heavy battery I end up pulling the whole contraption out off the belt from time to time. At that point I just throw the clip on bracket on the ground and will pick it up later. With a normal tool belt this only happens time to time, since its a clip on it also slides up and down the belt easily, which i dont like. When you shed your tool belt and try to clip it on your normal belt, that aint happening. Most normal belts are thinner, more narrow and what happens is the pulling out of the entire system with impact when trying to unlatch your impact happens on almost every draw. Pulling out the belt clip on bracket with your drill makes this system pointless. You should make the belt bracket wider. There is a tool belt system out there that uses belt clips. it slides over the belt and you have to pull a locking tab to lock it onto your belt. It allows multiple uses for that belt clip, bracket, you can put a drill holster in there from the same system, another tool pouch, framers pouch, electrician pouch, etc. Those belt clips are a lot wider, it also has a locking tab that folds over the open ended side of the belt clip to lock it in place so it will not come off the tool belt no matter what your doing. You could also make the bolt that is apart of the velcro that goes onto the drill or tool, smaller and make it out of metal and shorten it up just a hair. Quite often on my job you have to switch hands and drill or screw something, this thing sticks out quite a bit and makes it all pretty awkward. If you do redesign the belt clip bracket just keep note it could use some spacing away from the belt. I say that because we wear clothes under our tool belt, we wear suspenders, we have pouches and other tools on our tool belt. so with most pouches sticking away along with tools space a little from the belt in order to grab them better, your belt clip is a bit close to the belt making it harder to unholster, aiding in the fuckery with the latch lever and because part of the suspender system is near your belt clip it makes holstering quite the hassle. In the mean time I plan to drill a hole in the metal part of the clip so i can run a zip tie through it keep it latched on the belt.

Ridiculously expensive but equally good
Sick to death of my screw gun digging me in the leg as I walked about or climbed a ladder with it hanging from the hammer loop of my tool belt, I just had to find another option. Holster? Nope, too much of a pain to stow and release one handed as I work off a ladder, especially as you’d need to re-buckle it every time to ensure tool security. Holsters are pretty cumbersome to have on your belt too. Often, even with the belt pulled so tight I could barely breath, it would still start to creep down around my arse and just be uncomfortable to climb with. I made the decision that I wanted my screw gun up near my abdomen to keep it out of the way. Only way to do that was with a vest. Didn’t like the Snickers one because I couldn’t see a way of securing my screw gun in the place I wanted it, so in the end I opted for a police/military style Molle vest with multiple loops. Looks ridiculous I know but I just don’t care, with hindsight I’d have gone for black though. Got my vest, now…how to attach my screw gun? Tried a rhino hook thing but the trigger would operate when I dropped the gun in, plus it stuck out too far. So more googling led me to Spidertools. HOW BLOODY MUCH??!! Yep, they are crazy expensive but they are worth every penny. I feel a warm glow every time I grab and re-stow my tool. Though that may just be from the embarrassment of looking like a wannabe copper climbing a ladder. Oh well, it works! They lock every time you stow the tool and they’re easy to get the hang of releasing one handed. It’s a bit of a faff putting the lug onto your tool and I was convinced it would make holding the tool uncomfortable but you don’t even notice it’s there. Brilliant design that just works.

Top! Cowboy feeling!
Klare Kaufempfehlung 🤪

Great bit of kit
Had a few of these over the years but be aware over time the end finds it self wearing away and falls out of the holster so if your working at height you will drop what ever it is attached to and could possibly loose the peice of equipment and be out of pocket

Great little tool
This is the best one I've found so far. Tried a few . This was the easiest to clip and unclip the impact driver. This just clipped on my belt.
