Great value. My son bought these. He says only thing missing is bluetooth. Lol

Although they reduce sound they do not cancel the sound. I bought these to use when I'm using my backpack leaf blower which is very loud. I usually use just plain non-active (no batteries) hearing protection which works pretty well. I thought these would actively reduce the sound, that is to say that they would create a negative sound wave inside the ear muff cancelling the outside sound. With these, the batteries are used to amplify the outside sounds and present them to your ear and does nothing to cancel the sound. For users familiar with Bose cancelling headphones, you turn them on while wearing them and the outside sound and noise gets much quieter. With these you turn them on and it lets some of the outside sound in unless there is a sudden sound such as a gunshot where the circuitry will turn off the microphone and stop the gunshot sound from entering. Therefore, the only difference between non powered hearing protectors and these hearing protectors is that these will allow you to hear outside sounds as long as it's not too loud.For my application, these are no better that a pair of non powered hearing protectors although they are well made and fit snugly, they cost about 6x what hearing protection without batteries would cost so I'm returning mine.

I don't like the exposed wired portion. Looks like a weak point structurally. Using anyway.

I purchased a set for myself and two more in different colors for my boys. We go target shooting in the summer when we all get together, the place we go is an old logging property with a couple of creeks on it. Being able to hear the creek water running and not the multiple firearms shooting is very relaxing.

I bought these for an older person who was having trouble hearing, even with his hearing aids. He said he could now hear conversations he struggled hearing before receiving this product. They are easy to use and comfortable to wear.

These ear protection work as advertised. They are comfortable and has a convenient volume adjustment on the side. I shoot weekly at a gun range and these block out the gun blasts sufficiently while you can carry on a conversation and hear the voices clearly. I would recommend these highly!
