Deep, Room-Filling Sound That Punches Above Its Price
Deep, Room-Filling Sound That Punches Above Its Price I’ve owned plenty of computer speakers over the years, but the Logitech Z623 system really stands out. Even though mine came as an Amazon Renewed set, it looked and felt practically new. Setup was quick—just plug in the satellites and subwoofer, connect an input, and you’re ready to go. The sound is where this system shines. At moderate volume, the audio is clear and well balanced, but when you turn it up, the subwoofer delivers bass that can rattle windows and shake picture frames. Movies, music, and games all feel immersive with this much low-end punch. I like having the bass knob right on the speaker—it makes it easy to dial in just the right level without fiddling with software. Inputs are flexible too: you can run multiple devices through the RCA and 3.5mm jacks. I’ve had my computer, TV, and even a portable music player hooked up at the same time. The satellites are compact but produce crisp highs and mids, and the subwoofer anchors everything with authority. One thing to keep in mind: this is a wired system, and it takes up some floor space with the big sub. Also, the bass can overpower if you crank it too high, so fine-tuning is important depending on the room. Bottom line: If you want a powerful, THX-certified 2.1 system that fills a room with rich sound, the Z623 is a fantastic value—even in renewed condition. It’s built to last and delivers audio that rivals systems costing much more.

Best computer speakers I've used
Unless you're looking for an audiophile type system or something that will rattle the doors, this system sounds great. It seems well made and sturdy, and the balance of subwoofer frequency versus the mids and highs is good. The bass never sounds like it's struggling, muddy, or bottoming out. I've had a Klipsch setup before that sounded great, too, but it cost much more than this one. And I tried a cheap $35 Edifier setup that was terrible in sound quality, build quality, and it developed an annoying electric ticking noise the first week I had it. Too bad, because I have other, higher quality Edifier speakers that work great for my turntable. You get what you pay for. This speaker system is the best sound I've found for such a reasonable price. I'm totally happy with how it sounds, looks, and feels, and I'm picky about my speakers.

Kaboom!
Speakers work fantastic. Bass is very strong when at max for the price. Feels like I'm listening to my 5.1 surround system for a fraction of the price. I bought refurbished and it wasnt harmed at all and was easy to set up.

Excellent speakers, poor packaging, minor cosmetic damage (on a 'renewed' product)
The speakers sound great, with the potential to deliver powerful bass if you're into that. I have yet to experience any significant issues with the functionality of the speakers. The speakers feel substantial and sturdy in the hands. The wires feel high quality. Physical damage appears to be unlikely to damage the functionality of the speakers. The volume knobs feel good to use and the power button is satisfyingly tactile. The one complaint about functionality I have, is that when using the knob to turn the volume very low (lower than most people would realistically ever need to turn it) the volume of the right speaker reaches zero slightly prior to the left speaker, leaving the left speaker much louder than the right at very low volumes. It appears that the external frame of the subwoofer is made of a hard cardboard-like material. Though generally strong enough, the material has the potential to be smushed on the corners, as was the case with mine on arrival, (though I purchased them renewed, so this was not a terrible surprise). This damage appears similar to the way an old hardcover textbook gets bent corners. I cannot say for sure how strong it might be if something hits it on the side, but it feels sturdy and hard. I purchased them renewed, sold by "Action Gear," who packaged it poorly. Though it was packaged with plenty of bubble wrap (arguably too much), the box was far too large and the contents shook around inside. Nothing bad happened, although it did create potential for damage, as the heavy subwoofer was packaged with bubblewrap on only four of the six sides.

Excellent product. Fantastic quality and sound for the price.
These are the best desktop speakers I've ever owned at this price point (retail new $150 to $200 range). Clear highs and mids. The bass greats crazy loud if you're into that sort of thing. I prefer more audiophile grade monitors for music, but these speakers are great for games and movies with lots of things going on. Definitely the best non audiophile speakers for the money. I read some people had a lot of bad luck ordering refurbished, but my experience was just fine. Shipping was quick, the speakers were in very good shape with no scuffs or wear and tear. They were easy to hook up with zero distortion or static. I could be an exception, I don't know, I can only speak for myself and my experience both in purchase and in use has been excellent.

Supreme sound quality
Absolutely phenomenal stereo, the spund quality is superb. Sounds like you're sitting in an amphitheater when youre sitting in front of it and the volume is only at 60%. The fact that the bass comes through a separate channel allows me to hear sounds in the high/migrange that I hadnt heard before in my music. That's not just because its got a 2.1 channel setup but also because the wattage is high enough to drive all the speakers well and strong enough that due to the fact its hardly working to blast music harder than one would need sitting in front of it or being in the same room it can really show its quality with its sound production. Took me quite a while searching for the perfect system to find this one and the wattage rating in the title is what made it stand out and i can definitely say it not only lived up to my hopes for quality but by far superceded them. This is a must have for anyone that enjoys high quality sound without breaking the bank!

Too good to be true...
My box came with virtually no damage, unlike others have reported. So, I was thinking I was lucky and was going to get a really nice set of these Z623 speakers. Upon UN-plasticing the speakers I became even more hopeful because they looked immaculate, just like new. The problem was with the subwoofer. It makes no sound at all. I've tried various points on the bass knob, various volumes, I've disconnected and reconnected the speakers and their inputs in every order I could think. I've tried both 3.5mm inputs, as well as the RCA inputs. I've tried my PC (which was where the speakers were intended to be placed), I've tried a tablet, even tried a frequency generator. But the bass input seems to only go to the stereo speakers, the sub never makes a sound. 60Hz or lower is something you'd expect to make the subwoofer at least try and emulate the sound. It's super disappointing, I've owned Logitech stuff for many years. It's generally good stuff, I'm even typing this on a G910 keyboard. But it looks like "Refurbished" doesn't actually mean "fully functional" like it's supposed to.

Best sounding PC speakers available in this range. Longevity issues? Read my full post
I had some Logitec that last about 20 year. Really good sound. These are renewed. Mean very little. They rock. It appears some how the corner was smashed from a drop. I'm guessing they went into see if anything was visibly broken rather than sale something could be damaged(Great management). The speakers had never been setup or used. It's just like new. You can't beat these for the price. At first they didn't sound good then I went into my Real Tek app and make adjustment and now it sound awesome. Super Renewed price on a New item. With the warranty on renew you can't go wrong. Amazon is the best! My old Logitec had a separate volume box and it was so handy. This one isn't as handy for me. Sadly thse only last just over 24m months. There isn't really and other decent Companes making decent Sounding PC speakers anymore,. I wish JBL and Pioneer would get back into is PC Biz. JBL makse good bookshelf speakers but I want more. I am back to buying these again. Can't repair these without cutting the large box open to hunt for bad solder joints which is the typical issues with electronics. The constant heating up and cooling down works to weaken solder joints. High quality electronics should last more htan two years
