The Casio G-Shock GW-B5600-2ER is one of the many modern versionsof the original square G-Shock DW-5000C. Size and shape are verysimilar for all square G-Shocks, so I shall not get into this.I will just list some of the specifications which might helpdeciding between this version and another one. I had the watchonly for a few weeks so I cannot comment on durability but I haveseveral other G-Shocks and they have always been some of the toughestwatches around, so I have no reason to doubt about this one.This watch has a negative LCD, so it is a bit harder to read thanothers but in most situations I find it perfectly clear. The onlyexception is when I wear polarized glasses but even then it is not abig deal. The strap is perfect for my 7' wrist but it is shorter thanin other G-Shocks. If you have an 8' or larger wrist you probably needa longer strap. The watch is black but the bezel is very reflective, soit is not a stealthy watch as needed by those hunting, practicingbird watching or in the military. The Multiband 6 function allows forsynchronization with an atomic watch where the signal is available orusing one of the Apps which emulate a radio wave signal. I have severalwatches with this function and this is by far the fastest and mostreliable one. The watch can connect to a mobile phone via Bluetoothbut it is not a smartwatch. The App simplifies the access to certainfunctions, uses the mobile phone to set the watch or change time zoneand can be used to add a reminder message to alarms and to logyour position. Because of this function allowing you tolog your position it is possible that the App can be used bythird parts to know your position at a certain time.If you are very concerned about your privacy you might want to checkmore details about this. Finally it is worth noting that in this modelCasio added the possibility to set the countdown timer to the secondand that the watch is solar. For me this watch is one of the bestcompromise between style, functionality and price and for this I givethe watch 5 stars.

The media could not be loaded. Like my title says, you will keep finding something dull or bothering in any watch you get. I learned this after buying and returning so many g shocks before settling with this one (hopefully). There was always something bugging, like the buttons, or the display, or the price, or lacking a feature, or looking boring, on and on. I realized as long as the price sufficiently justifies the product, you should go with what you like.With this watch here, you are definitely getting a bargain.Solar, Multiband 6, Bluetooth link, 200 M water resistance, world time feature (not present in the classic g shock square dw 5600), and its a G Shock. All of this for about $100? If you can afford it, and love it’s unique looks, take it before its gone.Yes, the display is not that great. But I have had no problem reading it in real life. A slight tilt of the hand should make it very legible. I don’t know why people find it too troublesome to even do that. I personally love the negative black-out displays over the positive ones and I was willing to trade some legibility for some character. I’ve attached a video showing how the legibility changes based on the viewing angle and you can see it’s practically not as bad as people make it seem. If you were in a dark place the watch automatically lights up.I liked the G Shock squares but I wasn’t abfan of the busy layout of texts all over the case, I was hoping for something that looked simpler and cleaner without sacrificing the square. I found it in this watch. You have other ones too these day but that blue metallic touch sets this apart.Bluetooth works flawlessly to sync the exact time whenever I need to change time (otherwise I set it off because I just like the disconnected nature of regular watches).In summary, go for it. The watch is definitely a bargain with the features it has.If you love negative display but cannot sacrifice legibility at all, look into the Gbx or gbd glide models. Those have a MIP negative display that’s probably better than even your traditional positive displays.

This watch is exceptionally accurate! I also like how the time is adjusted from my smartphone every 6 hours! 🥰😊I also like it's all digital and tough solar! 🥰The price is good in my opinion.

Love theses watches, they are robust easy to set up just plain tough and look good too.

Connect to the app and always have the right time

The negative display is a bit darker than even my other 5600 series but still legible I'm varying lighting conditions. Sits well on the wrist, has good features with Bluetooth and feels well built. Love the blinking red light reminder after the backlight lights up to remind you then scrolls text in the box in the upper left. Personally I like the electro-illumination that's neon green but the led is nice too.

I read a lot of reviews and decided to go with the crowd who said that the negative display was easy enough to read. I loved the watch the first week but haven't worn it much since. I wear my GWM5610 with the positive display instead.

So many features in a tough, lightweight watch and very legible for a negative display.

Super uhr, war am anfang etwas skeptisch wegen gummi band und dem schwarzen ziffernblatt aber hätte mir keine sorgen machen müssen. qualität ist 1-A, kann das ziffernblatt auch bei schlechter beleuchtung gut sehen und ist einfach ein zeitloser klassiker.

It is a retro tough solar watch, which is quite light on my wrist. I like the light blue frame.

Indestructible, je n’oublie jamais de la porter , le look est juste énervé et étant technicien j’ai souvent peur d’abimer mes affaires avec toutes mes interventions et chantiers et pourtant après un bon coup de propre elle est toujours presque aussi neuve et sans rayures c’est limite incroyable , la fonction bluetooth est sympa et facilite beaucoup la programmation de la montre mais le phone Finder est inutile en situation réelle sauf peut être en cas de vol si le tel est « en activité » en moment où l’ont essais d’établir une connection avec la montre car le Bluetooth n’est pas en mesure d’effectuer un signal d’alerte si le tel est verrouillé depuis un moment si non en dehors de ça rien a dire, l’écran négatif est un choix esthétique qui rajoute du style mais qui peut gêner la visibilité de certaines personnes mais moi même ayant des problèmes de vue je ne rencontre aucun soucis à lire ce que je veux lire sur la montre et le mode full auto led quand y’a peut de lumière est très pratique et très visible, parfait qualité prix et valeur sûre.
