Arata: The Legend, Vol. 24 (24)

Come on volume 25
Volume 24 at last. It feels like the end is coming soon. One more volume or five more, I can't tell. But the author keeps getting sick. She is only one year older than me, so it's depressing in a lot of ways. But after coming this far, we hope she finishes. As for the plot, do I really need to say anything? I'm liking the story a lot. Arata is more popular than Hinohara. I haven't the foggiest idea why. Hinohara is flawed and at times weak but that is why he is so interesting. Superheroes are always more interesting when they overcome their weaknesses. Superman is too perfect. Batman is a bit better but he's so rich. Spider-Man is just right. Weak, bullied, and suddenly gifted with powers he doesn't always use correctly. He also has hurt the people he loves. He even turned evil once. Sounds familiar, correct? This is definitely one of my favorite series of hers.

Finally something new of this.
Can't tell you how happy I am to see this volume; there was like no updates at all for these chapters on the Internet.

Good
~3/5I have missed a lot of this series, so clearly a lot has happened that I don’t know about. We’re in the middle of a plotline involving several characters I don’t know. There’s a big plot between a father and son, and how he left him. Then some havoc is being caused in the real world, and the Arata’s try to do what they can to fix it. It’s clear I’ve missed some of the information reveals about the two worlds, but it’s interesting how they’re interacting and intertwining. I still think I like the black-haired Arata more, and would like to catch up on his part. Seeing how much Arata's father cares for him was sweet, as well.I should definitely catch up with this series. It’s very good, and getting very long. I think I’ve missed reading Watase, it’s been so long.A review copy was provided by the publisher, VIZ Media, for an honest review. Thank you so, so much![More of my reviews are available on my blog, Geeky Reading, to which there's a link on my profile.]
