Roman Centurion Gladius with Scabbard by Marto of Spain

This item is exactly what I expected based on the written description in the online catalog. I purchased it as a wall decoration and it works admirably in that role. It is robustly crafted and well detailed. It does seem a bit "dull" for my use. As I am not a weapons collector I am unable to expertly comment on weight or balance of the sword. It does feel a bit awkward to wield but it is the first time I've wielded any sword. I'm in Canada and when I ordered from amazon.ca I was unaware the item was shipping from the U.S. The cost of a broker to get the item across the border and HST amounted to $60.
