Outstanding
We've used this monitoring in an enclosed warehouse that experiences all different sorts of temperatures. Normally electronics wear out much faster by daily use in these conditions, but not this device! Very stable and consumes low energy. It has been extremely reliable and has been a great touch screen.

Great monitor with install challanges-read below and setup will be a breeze
I rarely write reviews but I felt based on the experiences I have had with the touch screen monitor that I purchased from Amazon that I would share some of my frustrations and make it very easy for anyone purchasing the monitor to have it running in less than 5 min. Unlike my initial three hour ordeal. Some background. Have been jeeping for years in the Southwest. Main interest is ghost towns and mines. Have been using a Samsung Q1 loaded with Topo maps for years. Small screen, slow XT, stylus touch screen difficult to use off-road. Would like to have upgraded to a new tablet touch screen PC but it's not in the budget. So I decided to combine my laptop with a USB touch screen. This gives great flexibility as the laptop can be changed out any time with a newer model. My plan was to place the laptop in the back of the Jeep on top of a shock mounted laptop cool pad attached to a four-port USB 12vdc powered hub and run to USB extension cables to the glove box of the Jeep, one for the GPS receiver mounted on a tray above my sun visor and the second going to the USB monitor. I tested the entire system on the kitchen table before installing in the Jeep. Once in the Jeep I could not get the touch portion of the touch screen monitor to function. Very frustrating. Once running an extension cord from my garage and powering the monitor with its 120vac to 5Vdc power supply all worked fine. If the monitor is hooked directly to the PC there is sufficient power for the monitor. If you go through a hub and USB extension cables the monitor works but the touchscreen does not. You must power the monitor separately. I purchased a 12 Vdc to 5 Vdc converter from Amazon to power the monitor separately. Now the two USB extension cables that run from the monitor and the GPS receiver go directly to the 12 V powered USB hub which then connects to the PC and all works perfectly. I contacted car MP3 who provided the monitor through Amazon. No PDF was available for me to review prior to purchase. Once I receive the monitor I found it came with a 2.5" x 2.5” folded piece of paper with instructions that took a magnifying glass to read. I have scanned the instructions into a PDF file along with detailed instructions on how to actually set up the monitor. I e-mailed it to MP3car and if you contact them they will send you a copy. Two key points to make installation easy. One you must power the monitor. To when you set up the monitor initially after installing the monitor software, you must go to change resolution from your PC screen and make sure that you pick extend displays. Once you pick extend displays you then pick the secondary monitor which is the touchscreen as the primary display. You then change extended displays mirrored displays and you are good to go. This was the part that was most frustrating to me.I also installed two connectors below the glove box on the dash, one for the 5 V power to the monitor and one for the USB connection to the monitor. Very clean install. Have made 4 or 5 trips with this set up and works just great. The monitor stand opens up and hooks into the grab bar above my glove box making no mounting hardware required. Below is a list of parts that I purchased from Amazon. They all work great and I will put a short review in each of these parts on Amazon that reference this detailed review.CarNetix 10.1" USB-Powered Touch Screen MonitorStarTech.com Panel Mount USB Cable A to A F/M - 1 ft. careful. 1024x600
I had this for a short time and then returned it. It only functions as a displaylink device, so your OS must support that. It worked great with Windows, BUT touch only works correctly in mirrored display mode at 1024x600 (touch only affects primary display in extended mode). That made it a no go for me.
