Solidly made and easy to use; perfect for the odd DIY job but I would think carefully before use on high voltage / heavy current applications. Very good value at this price.

The tool itself is good quality and works well. However, the supplied terminals are rubbish and squeeze out the side of the tool rather than crimping on to your cable. Buy the tool but invest in some decent quality fittings.

Nothing wrong with the crimper but it’s really awkward to use when terminating cables in-situ. You need both hands to operate it and a third hand to make sure the lug stays put, which of course it doesn’t because the crimper and cable end is waggling around as you squeeze the handles. I found using a spot of superglue to hold the lug against the cable insulation compensated for the fact that I only have 2 hands.

I luuuuve this! I bought it to attach battery connections to heavy-duty wire on the car and caravan. Before this, i was using pliers and other things to crimp, but no luck. This has several settings for different sized cable and is easy to use. The leaver action and long arms mean not too much force is required to close the crimper (shoulder injury means I have little strength to do this), but i found it ok and easy to use. It makes easy work of something I was struggling with

It’s not the best on the market, but for the price it does a decent job. The tool itself is easy to adjust, but the dies don’t line up exactly as there is a little bit of play. So before compressing watch out for this and adjust accordingly. As for the crimps, worth investing in better quality. Would only use these to get me out of a hole.

The tool itself is decent. I was having some difficulties with the crimps falling off initially, but this turned out to be caused by the supplied ones being absolute junk. See pic for comparison between these (left) and some others I bought, so thin. I would advise to toss them out and buy the sourcing map ones from amazon instead.

The crimper pinches the lugs and it cretes a scaving on the lug, it creates a sharp edge on the side of the lug. A crimping tool is supposed to crimp the lug and it should only be a smooth surface after and no metal should have been pinched away. I have crimped the same lug as in the picture with another crimper and then the result was perfect. The lugs that comes with this kit are thin, short and of very bad quality. But cheap. I suggest soldering them instead of crimping. Note, the picture in the review contains high quality lug from Skyllermarks. It's 25mm2.
