House Foods Tofu Hamburger Mix, 1.72-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 10)

I remember trying a tofu burger made from these years ago and it was amazing.I could never find the product in stores, so it was years later I came across these on amazon. My expectations were high (memory can be better than reality) but I must say that the tofu burgers came out just as I remembered (delicious). I would recommend the tofu burger mix to not just anyone who is on a meat free diet, but someone who wants to "mix" things up on occasion as well.The only thing I would say it to not make the patties too thick because they will have difficulty holding together a bit.

To make some tofu burger, all you need is a pack of this mix and a pack of tofu. Just squeeze the tofu to get the liquid as much as possible, and just mix in! It'll be a perfect consistency after kneading a bit, and can make 4 patties out of it (it states it'll make 5 patties but I found the size too small). Just have some canola oil in the pan over medium heat, and cook both side and you have your dinner! The ingredients of this mix is the followings: bread crumbs, onion, sugar, sesame, potato, salt, soy protein concentrate, cornstarch, soy sauce, autolyzed yeast extract, yam, roasted garlic powder (garlic, palm oil), vegetable bouillon (cornstarch, onion, potato, carrot), xanthan gum, citric acid.

Three times the price on Amazon but overall tasty.

A staple for us vegetarians.

I normally get these at my local store, with the s&s discount this makes it a great deal. Love these tofu patties, I sometimes make them for snacks or as a meal.

It was good, but I was searching for gourmet! Quite pricey for what it is...
