Tamiya 35365 1/35 US Airborne Tank M551 Sheridan Plastic Model Kit

I have built many Tamiya kits over the years. I have been model making on and off for over 50 years Particularly military dioramas WW2 Vietnam and Iraq. My unit had Sheridans. The tamiya kit is an excellent example of the Vietnam era AARV, not a tank. It is an easy kit to assemble and with your imagination, some scrap plastic,balsa wood you can create a very realistic scene. The kit also comes with 3 figures which is a real plus. There are no photo etched parts so no super glue needed. It is a very basic kit compared to many others on the market today, but a fun part of modeling is using your own imagination. I highly recommend this kit for modelers of all levels.

Tamiya kits are very accurate and always of excellent quality! Tamiya employees who sculpt the figures are some of the best in the industry!

Accurate detail and makes a good memory.

This new (2020) Tamiya kit excelled in every way. Typically first-rate engineering, with three excellent figures, nice hull details and a rifled, one-piece gun barrel. Everything fit beautifully, including the individual tracks, which are so much worth the extra effort. Wasn't sure how well the plastic screen would work as the chain link fence shield but it crinkled up and looks great (not so much as engine vent screens so I didn't use it there.) It was great fun weathering this muddy, jungle conditions tank, and I enjoyed giving it added realism with some after-market stowage and sand bags.

A typical Tamiya 1/35 kit. Well engineered and accurate, great fit. This is far removed from the 1970 era Tamiya kit and the more recent Academy model with its' accuracy issues. I have not compared it to the new RFM kit which represents the Desert Storm version.

This is a fun model to build and not so expensive either. Great model to try different techniques of painting and weathering. Good quality plastic too.

Went together very nicely. The one exception is the plastic netting provided was a bit of a pain (photo etch may have been a better option). All in all an enjoyable product to build and worth the money.

Very complex and difficult to put together

作り易さや出来に価格などが高い次元でバランスの取れた好キット！。などと言うとタミヤさんのレビューでは有りがちな内容になってしまいますが。やはりそうなってしまうんですよね。金属砲身が欲しかったので、別売の金属砲身とエッチングパーツのセットも購入しましたが。変にエッチングに頼らなくてもこれだけの物が作れるという見本。敢えて言わせてもらえれば、ガンサイトは開状態にできる様にして欲しかったところ。こういうところはタミヤさんに往々にして有るので、一考してもらえたらと思います。

Producto excellente. Pero exige comprar un complemento (cañon y rejilla) por casi la mitad de lo que cuesta el modelo.

This is a new version of the Sheridan tank. It builds into a nice model. It has link and length tracks, with a nice amount of sag, which looks very convincing. The crew figures are also very good.

Conforme à la description, du très bon Tamiya.

Amazon n'est pas en cause et je ne peux que féliciter l'ensemble des qualités montrées par ses gestionnaires et ses employés et tout particulièrement pour leur sérieux et leur rigueur. Il n'en va pas de même pour Tamiya dont le modèle acheté est vraiment pénible à monter. Pour son prix ont peut exiger mieux. On dirait que les concepteurs du modèle ont tout fait pour rendre le plus pénible possible le son montage. Où est le plaisir de monter ce modèle réduit ? Il était pourtant simple de le faciliter. J'ai des dizaines d'année d'expérience dans le maquettisme. Je suis maintenant devenu dégoûté de Tamiya et je ne pense même plus à acheter le moindre de leur modèle. Je pense que c'est le juste retour des choses.
