MEEARO Car Battery Tester 12V Load Tester, 100-2000 CCA Automotive Battery Analyzer for Car Truck Motorcycle ATV RV SUV Boat

With several driving age grandkids off to college in their older cars, I wanted a way for each to be able to do the basic battery-starting-cranking checks on their cars, so I could "walk them through" the basics when they had car problems (which has happened many times in last several years). So I started out by buying them cheap DMMs, cigarette lighter volt meters, battery checking gadgets, etc. After thoses proved to be ineffective (or hard to use for a young kids not mechanically inclined), i progressed to the "battery analyzer" type tool about 2 years ago. This was a huge improvement in ease of usability for them and information for me, when assisting them via phone. In fact, I even started buying myself and wife one to keep in our cars. Again, a very useful tool for "first check capability".However, this MEEARO unit has, not only all the features that most of my others have, but the capacility of a few features is much better than similar features on earlier units (brands). Let me mention 2 specific features that are VERY helpful.The first "mode" on this unit (accessed by icon on screen) is BATTERY checking. This runs a short test to give you CCA of your battery, the voltage, the mOhm resistance, state of charge, and a recommendation as to battery overall condition. Other units also have some/all this capability, so this feature is not necessarily special. But it is very necessary, and this meter has it.The second "mode" is CRANKING, again accessed, as all modes are, by a screen icon. Some of my other battery analyzers has this capability, BUT this is where the MEEARO really outperforms others. I LOVE the fact that since you have to go inside the cark to crank it and the battery analyzer is outside underhood attached to battery, the tool initiates the test when you push the button, but then waits (much as an oscilliscope does in capture mode), for you to go inside the car and turn the key to crank, before it reiniates the scan for the voltage drop that occures during cranking. And all this is PLOTTED ON A GRAPH ... very easy to analyzer later. Resolution of each pixel on graph is probably in the 20 millisecond time range, so you get a VERY DETAILED waveform, forzen on the screen, to anayze. And whats more, you can even "store it to internal memory" for later export to PC. And the MIN-MAX value of the voltage is displayed in digits on the margins of the graph.This feature alone makes the tool so useful. Then theres the CHARGING "mode", which checks alternator output voltage and includes a ripple detect and report function. Another useful mode is the WAVEFORM mode, which basically just maks the tool as "poor mans oscilloscope", but at a single voltage and time base. Nonetheless, it can be very helpful in voltage drop examination of head lights, horns, etc. A nice extra feature.I like the tool so much, I have order several more for other members of my family, and I also have one in my and my wife's car. A nice tool to have for any glovebox.

I was looking battery tester for my motorcycle battery. The V311B is easy to operate and read, the options are most helpful. The battery tester helped me with the battery cold cranking, I was able to figure the battery issue.Great product!

Pretty cool little gadget. I got this since sometimes it's difficult to get to an auto parts place in my town and this was a good way to test my battery if it was good or not. After many of times of having mine die many of times(thanks to wife) this is much easier to. Do. At home than to. Disconnect and take somewhere. It takes a bit to select options and you need to know you're batter but overall easy and reliable and doesn't take up space.

Very easy to use and seems to be a good quality product. I've had it for a over a month now and used it more than 15 times and it gives easy to read data every time for every test that I have used it for.

This saved me from giving up on a battery today. I put it on and said needs charge but not dead. So i stuck it on battery charger until a hour ago. Sure enough it juiced over. I tried jumping it and could not get it to go so was sure i had lwt it sit over winter and ruined it.

Seems to work fine. Cool little tool.

So i was having some concerns about my battery dying, this battery tester was pretty good. It allowed me to select the type of battery I had, shows the volts amount, needed at least 12V to start my car.It shows a bunch of useful info on the condition and battery life that I wasn't able to upload.So over all if you're looking for a decent basic battery tester, this will do the job.

Everything worked really well with this! I purchased to test a couple of car batteries I had laying around. It was able to tell me whether they were still good or bad. The functions were really easy to use and the alligator clips are sturdy which I really liked. I would recommend this if your looking for a good battery tester.
