Loves this dog food

My 5 year old lurcher loves this food a lot. She picks out the meaty bits and treats them like treasure and then scoffs the rest. Up until now we have only used kibble from Skinners and Harringtons and she is bored of it. After a month on Pedro Gold. her coat is the best it has ever been and normally she only has to look at a breadcrumb for her skin to turn red and scaly so no wheat allergy problems with this. So from a very fussy dog (and a pretty fussy owner) this is great stuff. I will definitely buy it again. Re The other comment about cereal.birdfood I sort of get. If you have only used wet food or kibble it is a bit disconcerting unless you have used something like Vitalin. The best thing about this is you can see what you are getting as opposed to kibble.My only criticism is that the product name does not fit the product (ie jokey name/serious product)

Leaving a bad review is not something i relish but neither is feeding my dog the rubbish passing for "Real Meaty Chunks"as in Pedro Gold.I have never seen such rubbish which is totally bad for a dog as this food seems to be.Disgusting .I spend most of my time poking through the 15kg bag looking for these so called Real Meaty Chunks but have found nothing but these lumps of total fat.Its a good job i add water to the food so as i can judge how much food is going into her stomach and to find the fatty lumps to remove.Although for working dogs ,i cannot see how this could be in any way healthy.There is no goodness in fat except fat and an overweight dog.I feel it is blatant falsity to say that its Real Meaty Chunks when it really chunks of fat.It was a waste of £29.99.Going to stick to Tails . com food and real frozen skinless chicken breast from Tescos.At least its real.Totally disappointed.

It has everything you need for a healthy diet l sometimes add a few vegetables but that's all

more bird food than dog food. if your dog does not eat every crumb in sight, this product is not for you. i now have a kitchen covered in cereal.

After getting a recommendation from a friend about this dog food, I am very disappointed.We have two border collie's and although one will tolerate it and leave the CEREAL behind, the other has to have it mixed with another dog food.I was very surprised to find so much cereal in it and after doing research online most vets say too much cereal is NOT good for your dog.I find that putting a little warm water helps to soften it down a bit.Don't think we will be purchasing again. A pity, as it's got a good ratio of protein in it. Could the cereal not be reduced a bit and perhaps put more tasty veggies in it instead?? (Just an idea!)

Too much cereal and if you look close you’ll find that a lot of the meaty chunks are bits of horn and hoof that has about as much nutritional value as biting your finger nails!
