This stuff is amazing!
Seriously amazing. SO much better than the brush-on version for what I use it for. I make mixed media jewelry and many of my pieces (like these bicycle gears shown in the pictures) have all sorts of intricate nooks and crannies in them that are very difficult to reach with a brush. Mod Podge Ultra spray saves me a ton of time and far less messy than the brush on. No more brush strokes and uneven coating. The only downside is overspray, so be careful to cover up the surrounding areas before you start spraying. I ended up making a little "paint booth" out of a cardboard box where I hang each piece on wire. The spray gets contained in the box and doesn't end up all over my studio tables. Highly recommended!

Great for sealing paper crafts
I tried this out for the first time yesterday; refined how I use it today. I've used other Mod Podge products, but was looking for a sealer that wouldn't leave brush marks on my items. I use card stock to decorate unfinished wooden boxes. Regular Satin Mod Podge looks very nice as a sealer, but it's impossible to not leave some brush strokes in it, even when I use a sponge applicator, because it's pretty thick. This Mod Podge Ultra Gloss is thin, almost watery. I tried it on several boxes that I made that were still unsealed. I tried it with a Taklon brush and also a standard, cheap little sponge applicator. Both worked well, but I liked the sponge applicator best; it gave me better control.I found out it's important to use very little at a time; MUCH better to have thin coats. If you put too much down, it can pool and look funny when it dries. I dip the tip of the applicator into the liquid and then press it against the side of the bowl to get rid of the excess liquid. Then I just brush it onto the paper that has been glued (and thoroughly dried) onto the wooden box. I go around the edges and just brush it all over the surface to spread it out. I work quickly because it dries fast. As my final step, I make even, light, parallel strokes, going from one side to the other to smooth it out nicely. It's very important to use just a little and work quickly. Then I just put the item aside to dry. It dries in just a few minutes. The first coat seals nicely and has a matte finish; barely noticeable. The second coat adds a nice little sheen to the surface. The third coat adds a distinctly glossy look. So I can use it to achieve whichever effect I want on my finished product. Another nice feature of this product is that it makes the colors of my card stock look more vivid; they really pop! I'm glad I discovered this product and will continue using it on my decorated boxes.

Horrible spray nozzles.
I used this product to top coat my glitter on my projects. The product itself is okay because it dries hard But, it takes the sparkle away from the glitter. So u have to spay just a LITTLE. Now the spray bottle is HORRIBLE. It drips and change spray patterns as you work with it so instead of getting very fine spays all the way thought out, u will get straight sprits and constant drips from the spray nozzle. I DID run water through the pump to wash it out after I used it but it’s the same results every time. So this would be a good product IF it had a better spray pump.

Not their best product
I love modpodge... but this product is meh. The spray isn’t super fine, you either don’t get enough or you get way too much. Overspray is also a real issue.

used in a craft project with small bales of hay
I was creating a barn play house for a grandchild and wanted hay bales (2 x 3 inches) available. I knew the Mom would not like pieces of straw all over. So I ordered this to coat the hay bales. I tried brushing it on with a foam brush and with a bristle brush. I finally just dipped them in the stuff after pouring some in a bowl. It worked very well. I did have to "drain" them on non-stick tin foil and keep turning the bales to dry them properly but it worked very well.

Disappointed
I bought this product hoping that it would not streak or leave any residual distortion under the glass cabochons that I wanted to assemble. However, it still created streaks and distortions when dry. It also took quite a long time for the pieces to dry. Perhaps it it good for something other than for under a glass cabochon.

Substitute brush strokes for speckles.
Was hoping for a more even finish. I use modge podge to make decals but trying to find a way to remove the brush strokes. Theres more water in this so it seeped through and left speckles in some areas and transparencies on others. Even as a sealant I cant see using this as it too light of a spray would leave speckles and too heavy would be watery.

Ultra Mod Podge is awesome.
This is super stuff! We were working on a school project and needed a strong spray glue that worked like decoupage. I found this product when searching for mod podge and thought I would give it a try. I have used mod podge for projects in the past, but I really wanted a spray glue. This was just what I was looking for and it worked beautifully. The finish was nice and glossy without the brush marks and that is what I was hoping for.
