like many, I thought it was just ludicrous that ...
I really wanted to take advantage of the fast charge ability of my new iPhone X but, like many, I thought it was just ludicrous that Apple didn't provide the ability to fast charge right out of the box of my $1150 phone (I opted for the 256GB version). Equally absurd is that if you want to get the fast charge ability from Apple, it will cost you $25 for the absolutely necessary USB-C to Lightning cable and $50 for the Apple 29W USB-C Power Adapter (MU262LL/A). It all seemed so unfair to me so I was determined to find a a more cost-effective alternative.Aukey's Amp PD Duo USB-C 29W charger seemed to be a suitable alternative at half the cost. So I ordered one here on Amazon and received it 2 days ago and the results were pretty good. For those of you who are like me looking for a reputable but cheaper fast charging alternative, I completely recommend this product but urge you to still bite the bullet and buy the Apple USB-C to Lightning cable because Apple has not yet licensed the rights for third parties to make Lightning cables and so there is no guarantee that the aftermarket versions (of which there are a few) will work correctly with your iPhone. There's also the very real possibility that a non-certified cable could damage your $1000+ phone over time (or possibly immediately). I suggest you don't take that risk. Buy the Apple USB-C cable because it's better to be safe than sorry. That being said, my experience with the Aukey Amp PD Duo paired with the Apple USB-C to Lightning cable yielded results equal to those of the $50 Apple adapter and Apple cable.I allowed my iPhone X to get completely drained so that I could record the time it takes from empty to 100% using the Aukey Amp PD Duo. Here are my results (Please also see the photos I posted below):1 minute 50 seconds from complete drain (where phone has only enough power to display the empty battery) to boot.1 hour - 80%1 hour 30 minutes - 96%1 hour 43 minutes - 99%1 hour 58 minutes - 100%Do I wish it were even faster? Yes. However, it is a HUGE improvement over the 5W adapter that Apple ships with the iPhone.Another added benefit of Aukey's Amp PD Duo is that it comes with two 12W USB adapters in one module that plugs right into the USB-C port. So, you can opt to charge 2 devices @ 12W each, simultaneously if you so desired. Of course, charging with the 12W USB ports is still faster than the 5W charger that Apple ships with iPhone - and in essence you are getting two 12W chargers! Just note that if you opt to use the 12W USB charger module, you will not be able to use the USB-C port in the charger for the even faster charge to your iPhone X or iPhone 8 and 8+. Nevertheless, you get a lot of versatility out of this little charger which provides equal performance to the Apple 29W charger at less than half the price! So, do I recommend the Aukey Amp PD Duo? Absolutely! in summary, it's half the price of Apple's 29W adapter and yet provides identical performance and also includes an adapter to charge 2 devices at 12W each! I've only owned it for 2 days so obviously I cannot speak to its quality/performance over time, but at a little more than $20, it is well worth giving it a spin! I will certainly update this review in the event of any changes - good or bad. Hope it was helpful!** January 26, 2019 ** I've had it for over a year now and it works like day one. I've since upgraded from the iPhone X to the iPhone XS Max and this charger does exactly what its supposed to do... and does it pretty fast!

Apple-quality at half the price with added bonuses
After purchasing my iPhone X, I was a bit disappointed in the fact that the phone did not come with a quick-charge adapter. So off to the Apple store I went to purchase a $50 adapter. Unfortunately, I needed more than one adapter so I decided to check Amazon and lo and behold, the same product for more than 1/2 the price.Keep in mind that this charger is larger than the standard charger that comes in the box with the iPhone X, however, that wall charger is a mere 5W compared to this beast, so expect a size trade-off. The wall charger charges as fast as the one from Apple, allowing you to quickly fill up your phone in 30 minutes; 50%. The wall charger also comes with a USB-C to 2 USB-A ports which is a very nice touch in comparison to Apple's. After having the product for over a month, I decided to go on ahead and order a few more for around the house.

Great for the Nintendo Switch
Bought this wall charger and a USB-C cable (by the same brand) to use for my Nintendo Switch. I wanted to be able to charge my Switch while playing games on it (in handheld mode) without having to remove the charger from the dock all the time. This charger, paired with their USB-C to USB-C cable, quickly charges my Switch (with joy-cons attached) while I'm actively playing games on it.

Fast charging for IPhone X.
I paired this wall charger with the Apple branded lightning to usb c cable and wow it charges fast. Unfortunately that cable is expensive but to my knowledge the Apple branded cable is the only way to get it to charge fast for the iPhone X. Thankfully you can get this Aukey wall charger instead of the Apple branded one and at least save on that part of it. Highly recommended.

Fast charge at a reasonable price
Purchased this so I could fast-charge an iPhone X. It does an excellent job and seems to be well-built. I like the fact that it can also be used with the larger USB plugs (2 outlets), however the adapter for the 2 outlets fills the USB-C outlet. Therefore, you can use it only for the 2 standard outlets OR with the one USB-C. I would prefer a handier way than through the use of this separate adapter; it's just another part to keep up with and possibly lose. For that reason I gave only 4 stars instead of 5. But it does its intended job--the fast charge on the X is definitely fast and does the job at a significantly lower cost than the factory fast-charger.

Works well with my Aukey 30000 mAh battery and Nintendo Switch
I bought this so I could have a compact wall charger to keep in my Switch case along with my battery bank. This works perfectly and charges both my Switch and my battery bank. I do recommend this especially since it has power delivery and will charge your Switch about as quickly as the AC adapter that comes with the Switch. The folding prongs are also a good addition. Here's my bank and my cable if you're interested.Battery: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071CQYBSN/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1495063290&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=aukey+30000Cable: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01GGKZ1VA/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1495064952&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=amazon+c+cable&dpPl=1&dpID=41QTw97EUuL&ref=plSrch

Works Great
Does exactly what it should. If you use iPhones, you should probably leave the insert installed and just use the two USB-A connections instead of the single USB-C connector. The device is powerful enough to deliver maximum logical charge rates from the two USB-A connections, about the same rates supplied by the iPad charger. This way you can also use your regular Lightning cords and not have to buy another special USB-C to Lightning cord.

Inexpensive, but USB splitter is only partially working
The USB C power delivery charger works great when you only use the USB type C port. The USB type C splitter to type A only works when it's plugged in for a single orientation. It doesn't seem to be reversible.UPDATE: Aukey Customer Service Contacted me, and replaced the wall charger. The new one is working with the USB splitter with no issues.
