Hi i like the sound of this instrument. but i am accustomed to guitar style of playing. can the gourds be completely detached and played like guitar?

Nope... The gourds have the electronics need for the veena to work. The power in, speakers amplifier are are inside it.

Can we not use either power or battery and just play it like a normal veena
