Concert Ukulele HUAWIND Mahogany 23 inch Professional Wooden Ukelele Instrument Kit w/Gig bag Digital Tuner Strap for Beginners

I purchased the Hua Wind brand concert size ukulele. I had first heard about it when visiting New England where many people possessed this brand of ukulele. I tried it out, and decided to order one for myself. I love my new ukulele! I have used brands such as Kala before and even their "kid friendly" version called Makala...they were good, but I feel that my new Hua Wind is great. Other buyer's reviews have complained of "poor tuning/sound". This is pretty normal for new instruments. For the first few weeks of using a new ukulele, it will need to be regularly tuned. The best thing you can do for it is play it daily and re-tune it before, after, and during use until the strings adjust to being in tune. Some other buyers have complained about the "frets hanging off of fret board". My ukulele did not come with any fret problems whatsoever. The frets were perfectly clipped and secure on the board. I don't really recomend this ukulele for small children. I have tried to see if children around 6-eight years old can play, on this larger version of the classic instrument, and they cannot very well. The Kala Makala version is much better for that. Overall, the quality is wonderful, & the sound, once tuned, is perfect! I recomend this ukulele for intermediate users or children with larger hands1

This Ukulele is fantastic for beginners like me, but it is built for players of all levels In my opinion. My mother and I bought different ukulele’s at the same time. I bought this one and she purchased another at essentially the same price and the quality of My Ukulele blows hers out of the water. Hers falls out of tune any time you strum for more than 5 mins, however this ukulele stays close to in-tune for days at a time and hangs up to some hard strumming by my fat hands. The concert size produces a rich, warm, loud tone that I believe is desirable. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because the tuner is a little buggy and may cause confusion for a novice. All the other accessories came as advertised and match the good quality of the Ukulele itself.

I had checked this brand of ukulele out from our local library and found it very easy to use so I ordered one for myself. The ukulele came and the “e” string would not stay tuned thru an entire song. Also the tuning heads were loose. We tightened the tuning heads and still no success in keeping the “e” string tuned.

What a great beginner instrument. Everyone who sees it is impressed by how nice it looks and how good it sounds. Issues with tuning are normal for new strings. They stabilize as the strings reach optimum age. I've been using it almost every day since I bought it, and I couldn't be happier.

I absolutely love this uke! I had a hard time with tuning at first, but now it stays closer to in tune. Definitely recommend to anybody on the edge of trying out the uke, the electric tuner alone makes this a bargain!
