Great Book can't ask for anything to be better.Lots of pics and know how. Good book for Oil painters with the mess.

It’s a very well written book. Lots of pictures. And she explains everything so that you just get it.

I purchased this book to improve my digital painting skills. The writing had many spelling and grammar issues, and hard to follow/ inaccurate descriptions.I felt I was misled by the horse painting on the cover. As I looked through the book, I found the cover image in a chapter describing how to open photos in Photoshop and draw on top of them with a mixer brush to make it look like a painting. When I got to the chapter about how to create original works of art from scratch, I found the author's skill level very unimpressive and amateur. There was also a chapter on applying filters to make photos look like paintings. Perhaps this book would be okay for beginners, but if I was just starting out with digital art I wouldn't want to deal with the constant spelling errors and awkward writing style.

The tips and workflows shown in this little book are excellent. Opened up a whole new way of thinking to create art I didn't realise was right in front of me.It's the type of book that you'll read through and take on the processes very quickly which is exactly what I was looking for. It's all about how to get creating art quick and handy tips to take advantage of CC.

Very good at setting up brushes - creating them and the settings for the brush before you paint. A tad light on brush technique, of actually how to use the brushes once created and setup.
